Why would you let that hold you back? TH8 will be easier to get DE with since lev 5 troops are a large improvement. Having a harder time to farm it while having th8s run you over taking it back is a huge waste of time.

Great work coldfury! That's some great loot farming average. Man its kinda hard not to get burned out on De farming a bit. I was loonians every day every attack for last few weeks and got a bit tired of it so I just switched to giant healer for a bit of variety. I've managed yk screw up a few of them already =| haha gotta get used to which bases through of my troops from heading to core since I haven't ground attacked for a bit .

I got a bit tired of so many skips since I had 600 De of minions to make up for I had to skip sometimes for 8+ min straight and end up not raiding at all since I had to hop out of truck for work. So I'm hoping that it will let me attack for small loots around 1200 or so before I need to get out to work again.

So as far as my quest goes king finishes up to lev 12 tonight and I got 49k De ready to go so only need 6k more so I'll have him going as soon as he wakes up. Though I really might skip him next level and do golems instead. Mine are lev 1 and I really wanna get them up for CWs.

Slow progress for me. Turns out I'm great at farming gold/elixir and lousy at farming DE. Guess its finally time to move up from the 1600s. It doesn't help that my lab needs about 60k+ DE every 10 or so days either.

Yeah, that pesky lab. I fortunately finished my minion upgrade to lvl 6 right before I started my hero quest and squeaked out the golem to lvl 4 last week. My witches/hogs were already maxed at TH9 and I don't care about valks.

As for getting DE quickly I think it's essential to get up to 1800 trophy's at a minimum and in my experience it's a little spotty down there. I have been having really good luck between 1900-2000 and have been trying to hover around there holding onto the Crystal III badge for extra win bonus.

My challenge has been keeping my Elixir up for upgrades because I'm exclusively focusing on DE. If I see somebody with 1k of DE and 3k Elixir I'll still hit them for the DE. My army isn't super expensive, but at ~60k of elixir and over 100k if I use a couple spells it does add up fast.
In general I've been coming out positive a million or two elixir every few days, but then our two clan wars per week tend to drain that back to even and leaving nothing for upgrades. I actually stopped focusing on DE last night just so I could intentionally farm Elixir for our CW this week. I also have my 3rd DE drill that finished to level 5 that I haven't been able to get started on lvl 6 yet. I should have that going in the next day or two.

Based on my early results with DE coming fast and furious I'm going to shift to a little more balanced approach to make sure I'm staying elixir positive as well as getting good DE.

awesome, congrats. You're way ahead of the game from where I was. I think mine was lvl 2 or 3 when I hit TH9. lol

I've got a second account that is TH7 (Barefury in same clan) and everything is definitely getting maxed on it before I push to the next TH. It's definitely an experience trying to farm DE at TH7, but I am committed to getting his BK to lvl 5 prior to going TH8.

Perhaps I should add in my TH7 farming strategy as well.

I'm in too. (Though I'm only TH9.) Been able to keep both sleeping with AQ going from about level 7 to 15 (finishes in 3d). Have 89500 DE at the moment but my BK hits level 15 in 20 minutes, so that will drop quite a bit. The last few weeks I have been trying to get enough DE to keep them both sleeping and have the lab upgrade my hogs (will have level 3 hogs tomorrow).
