Embarking on a journey to lvl 40 Heroes - Care to join me?

So we have two great farmers but even with the same troops there is a big difference. Hulk generally uses one rage per raid where as coldfury "use spells so infrequently". I only care because it affects my spending on the game and affects my calculations for how much de ill get for $x. So my question is, is spell usage dependent on base choice, player skill, deployment stratagey. Also how do you know when you need a rage or is it just instinctual after experience. Any help would be appreciated,

I probably shouldn't say I never boost my spell factory because that's not accurate but I'd say most of the time when I'm de farming I don't need to boost it.

The determining factor is mostly where I'm at in cups and what kind of bases I'm going after. If I see two or three big bases that I have to use spells to get to the core then I will end up boosting, but if I find bases with DE storage 1 or 2 layers deep then I don't need to.
I always start without boosting my SF and only kick it off if I run out of spells completely. More times than not I don't need to boost it and the 6-7 spells available over a 2 hour boost is sufficient.

During this time, my aq advanced from 21 to 31, my BK from 20 to 26.

In three days, my aq will be upgraded to 32.

I now farm in master 2 with mostly loonions and a few mass dragons.

Daily DE (heroic heist + loot bonus + drill - troop cost - enemy action) gain has averaged 30k for the past two months.

I generally dislike putting both heroes down because I really need at least one of them.

What trophy lvl was that at and how long did it take to find a base. also did you use spells and or boost.

2000-2350 Lighting for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TH trappers, yes I boosted SF twice and 2 raxs twice

In other news king is off to 22 with 2 days left and queen is off to 21 with 7 days left.

2200+ is great for 2k DE grabs but its harder to find easy grabs.

I'm right behind you. I just took my AQ to 21 yesterday and BK is still at 20.
We're doing a clan push this season so I'll probably be sitting here until after next week but then I'll be rocking them full time again.

So ive been using this strat for a couple weeks now and ive been floating between 2100-2200. I was easily able to find 1500-1800 sometimes even 2000-2800(1 in 6-9 raids) de. But now im struggling to find a weak th10 or premi th9 or 8 with more than 1k. so many people say they are farming c3 n doing fine but i always though i needed to go higher but much higher and i cant stay there. So does anybody know where to find 1300-1800 de frequently on bases with no infernos and preferably weak premi th9s.
All help appreciated.

I've been in champs the past couple weeks for our clan push, so I'm not sure at the moment. Historically I tend to stick around the 2000-2100 range and have done really well, but we all now how finicky loot can be.

I'll be heading back down for full time DE farming starting Monday, so I'll see how things are.
