I didn't read all the comments and some one might have said this but here are three things: those people end up adding in loot bonuses which are alot

if all the loot runs out, then they can't find it so they might upgrade collecters

having town hall upgrade requirements where you can't upgrade until blah blah blah would make you feel boxxed in like in hay day

Um, not really aimed at anyone in particular, but... to point out something that everyone seems to be overlooking, the 3/4-million bonus from clan wars seems to help a bit, considering how little the collectors give. That's like 750k/3k per hour= 250 hours, 250 hours/6 collectors= about 40 hours. Clan wars actually does help a lot. I only am sad about the cost of the NEXT button, and am already spending about 30k at least for every raid at th8.... hope I don't have to next as much at th9...

clanwars loot + league bonus < "NEXT" + Traps

    i would speculate that

clanwars loot + league bonus < "NEXT"
clanwars loot + league bonus < TRAPS

so in conclusion, where does loot come from?

Btw, you will have to "NEXT" more as a TH9 and it also costs more.

It should be an achievement, not a requirement.

They should make achievements for maxing out your collectors

First of all, of course the entire economy is based on collectors. That's without question

However, I'm arguing for farmers that actually know what they're doing actually don't need collectors, why waste time maxing them to level 11 and occupy builders? What they need are other people's collectors and basically inactive bases and that farming exceeds that of merely just collecting. If they are active, they are pretty much not going to be injecting most of that loot into the entire CoC economy anyway(by letting it get stolen). Most of which are likely defended, TH sniped or spent on the base. That's my argument.

No, I have no clue what you're saying actually ^.

Active players habitually collect from mines and collectors. Correct? So essentially, their collectors are likely never 100% full.

Raiding a collectors is a 50% net gain. Raiding a Storage is about 10% netgain *approx* it varies depending how much is in the storage. So if you collect your 400K daily into your storages, only approximately 10-40K is available. Whereas if you left 400K in your collectors, 200K is available to be stolen.

The percentage of available loot to the attacker is much lower in storages. ie, a maxed LVL 10 Gold Storage holds 2mil X 4 = 8 million gold. The most you can take from that person is 400K.

    so back to my quote:

"No. It doesn't. I mean, active players collect from collectors, so you can't raid them for it. Unless you take loot from their storages, but that's not what we're debating about."

So once their in storages, the chances of having it stolen by an attacker is a lot less. Not because of the fact that it's more difficult, but the gold available is already reduced significantly.

So to sum it up, active players have very little value to the actual SC economy. They actually take more than they give.

I doubt very much, that this doesnt happen over and over and over.

Btw how many active people play this way with a farmers setup? I could be wrong but i think its in the millions.
You'll be surprised. It adds up. If you only collect and not farm, you're not getting all the loot from collectors and some of it is being stolen by other players.

Look, I understand the concept entirely. As highly active farmer, I wish everyone upgraded theirs and didn't collect. Because it would be beneficial to me. However, to me collectors are mere trinkets and petty change. And it will get you nowhere in this game if you relied solely on it.

Honestly you're looking at it from a very high level, on a glocal SC economy, and maybe you have a point. But if you're complaining of loot issues, I think it's more an individual problem and playing style.
Even though on paper, if SC introduced a new Level 12 collectors, that would be nice, but I would likely not waste time upgrading to them unless:
    1. I can't farm fast enough for my expensive upgrades, and I have a builder opening up.
    2. Nothing else to upgrade.

Even if they increased your output by 100%, you would still not be getting maxed walls anytime soon. Sorry to say.

This would make people so mad... If you see a base with really good base but low collectors. It probably means
they raid like heck and focus on defense. Just keep skipping until you find that 300k-500k loot

I haven't built any more than the required 1 collector of each type. They are both level 1.

I left my extra pennies at the gas station tho so we're even.

    I agree & disagree

There's no reason to restrict someone just because they dont upgrade collectors; this problem is all Supercell's problems since they decided that there should be long upgrade times for collectors.
