best way to farm de?? does troop selection affect potential of de??

I'm having difficulties farming dark at crystal. I'm up at C3 for the first time (th8, level 86, defenses maxed but lab items not maxed) and while DE is plentiful up here, I feel like if I attack with barcher, I am sure to lose 30 trophies and I'll fall right out of C3. I can get back the lost trophies using DE-heavy armies, but that defeats the purpose. The th10s with 2000+ DE are not reasonable targets for me, and the th8s with 800-1000 are about as plentiful at G2 as at C3.

Only th level affects how much is available. And depends what you want to use. You could go for full drills or storages.

Wrong. Trophies affect how much loot is available. Some ranges have lots while other ranges have very little.

Quick tip, bring 3 Lightning's for those TH10's you'll never succeed against with 2k loot. You get something like 6-800 DE

...You will then proceed to get a butt-whooping revenge of a lifetime, losing way more DE than you ever zapped from him in the first place. Zapping DE is not the way to go.
