If you dont enough Elixir or Gold.. you can convert with a converter building. The Building must be available on th 9 maybe. Like this: For 1 mil gold you can get 300.000 elixir or for 2 mil elixir you can get 1000 dark elixir.

ruled out, but it might be a good idea for max bases, because I see the top players always have max storages and collectors for gold but sometimes dont have full elixir.. I don't think they would care that much but it might be worth considering.
