No, i stopped around 900k gold to getting th8. My cannons were all level 8, arch towers 7, had both teslas, crystal walls (the ones you get after gold) wiz towers 3 and air defenses lvl 4/3 and was still getting stomped by kids. You should see my face when I look at the base my attacker has after losing 200k gold to him. Its like, kid, this is a video game not a hole to deposit your money in....or is it the other way around...



Eh, its not the three star its losing all your hard work in 24 hours from kids. I could care less about losing a defense, i just don't like seeing some child getting to my storages with obscene amounts of high level troops.

Fine you are TH7.

My point is, you reach TH7 within 1 month, and you didn't spend money, i believe you.

But that doesn't mean those TH9s who attack u are kids who have spent money on the game. They could've played longer than you.

So don't think that you are getting stomped by players who paid money, think of it as getting stomped by people who have played longer and are probably better at the game than you.

It's easy to assume someone with 2 dozens level higher than you did spend money at this game. I was like that too. Just take your time. When you get there, you'll see that you don't have to actually spend money... And you'll like this game more.

You have definitely been farming wrong. Probably in the wrong trophy level or using the wrong army composition. For a th 8, anywhere from 1200-1600 is fine, you can go even lower if you want to be more safe. Should be using Barbarians, Archers, Minions, and wallbreaks. This is also called BAM, notice the acronym? Thus no need to spend hours on making expensive troops. Look for bases with full collectors or storages close to the edge to snipe. If you need a few trophies to stay within range, just snipe a few townhalls, exposed TH are everywhere in this range. And also, put your TH on the outside so people can give you free shield.

This game isn't hard, people just make it hard on themselves.

Anyways, since you've quit, I hope your collectors are max so I can take them when I see your abandoned base .

edit: Just wanted to say, you don't have to gem to get far in this game. I haven't spent a dime in this game and I'm a fairly mature TH 10. It's because I've played for over a year now and have been resourceful enough to find apps that gave itune cards for trying out other apps.

you played this game too late. Supercell nerfed the loot recently. It made new comers playing in a hell. Bunch of lucky old timers pretend there are tons of loot but actually there is none. Good time to quit.no regret.

I'm still farming for lv10 walls, loots there. Plenty of it.

Want to add that. If your a th7 being attacked by a th9 for 200k plus. Wouldn't that mean your pretty inactive as your collectors would be reasonably full, or full depending on how much you had in your storages

Hey Supercell, your app game was like one of three apps which held my attention span for more than 2 minutes at a time and I spent about a month playing it with a bunch of friends. Got up to lvl 51 with a th7 town hall.

I would just like to use this post to just mention how absolutely soul crushing it is to see your hard work lost in the blink of an eye from someone who pays to win this game. My defense log is filled up with me losing hundreds of thousands of gold to people, some of whom have up to level nine town halls. How is this allowed, Supercell? Why must I pay money to get any enjoyment out of your game? I refuse to grind any longer, that Barbarian King grind was one of the worst I've ever done in any game I've played since MMOs like Everquest come out. Then after acquiring him it takes 12,500 more dark elixir to get four more dps on him. I heard there were forty levels. You guys are sadists. Moreso for allowing people 40 levels above me and level 6 troops to steamroll my base with the clearly flawed and broken trophy system that prevents anybody but paytowin kids from succeeding in.

For the record, I was grinding to town hall level 8. Started today with 1.5 million gold, got up to 1.8 million gold now i'm back to 1 million IN UNDER 24 HOURS. It takes me two hours to make an army that guarantees a victory and almost 150k elixir for it. On a good day, I can get up to 200k on a raid at my absolute luckiest. And then 3 minutes after turning off the app I'm attacked and lose that all. If the kid is feeling really sadistic he'll only get my storages than quit before he gets one star so I can be repeatedly attacked. That process was repeating for three damn days now, and I've just given up and uninstalled this pay to win game. I haven't spent a cent on this game and I'm SO happy I decided not to. I also refuse to spend months waiting for my collectors to do anything so I can progress 500x slower than the kids who pay.

If there was any enjoyment you guys could get out of this game anymore everybody, I clearly have run out of it. Sick of grinding and being enticed to pay to win just like the rest of the credit card wielding kids, goodbye everyone. I guess i'll try out all the other clones that have done this formula way better for people who decide to not shell out 100$ here and there.

A few points:
This is not a pay to win game.
It doesnt matter with the grind or gemming, it is about play style and your own views about how things run in this game.

1. Gemming is not compulsory to progress, and you dont need to grind to hell to do so as well especially as a TH7, I have not spend a single cent on this game, I only play 1 day a week so I dont really consider it grind, and I am now 11 days before TH10 having max TH9 and lv15 heroes. I dont stress myself and I am still having fun after a year and half of playing.

2. If you dont like people stealing resource from you, leave your storages empty and TH outside, simple as that, as a TH7 the upgrades are soo cheap I can literally max my storage in half days play. Just remember your main income of resources are from other players, which could also be hard-earned loot for them, especially lower Town Halls. Its how the game works. If you have 2m+ plus in storages you are basically asking people to attack you as you have lots to offer, you can't complain as it is your issue, not other people's issue.

3. If you don't want to gem, you just need the skill and time to compensate it for it, if you are not willing to put time and develop while playing, you won't make it any farther.

And your attitude is not something to look at either, calling players who beat you "kids", developers being sadists and not willing to adapt/learn to cover where you went wrong, instead you just Rage-Quit and WHINE just makes you another immature troll that is just plain miserable. Good job providing another inactive base to the economy.

It all comes down to your farming strategy, I was a town hall lvl 7 until recently sitting at 1200 trophies with Barch farming strategy getting 200-300k gold per each raid. There is absolutely no need for you to use dark/big troops when farming. I spend about 20 min waiting for my troops, also I make sure that before I got to a battle I leave troops under training in my barracks. That way when you come back you will have half your troops already trained.

Upgrade your archers/barbarians and drop trophies until you are comfortable with the loot. Spend your gold on upgrading walls and defensive buildings and I can assure you that you won't get attacked as much.

Sorry but I am calling ♥♥ on this. Town hall 7 in a month with those other upgrades and only 3 builders and didn't gem. I don't know if it is even possible. If it is then you should keep playing as you are doing a lot better than me and I am still loving this game after 6 months (th7 about 75% maxed, just 3 barracks, troop upgrades, walls and hidden teslas to go)
