It pains me to make a thread like this, but where is the loot? (srs)

I'm about two days into being a TH8 and for the most part I was finding good bases with nice loot hauls (from 100k to 300k gold and/or elixer) just as I always have as a TH7.

Tonight's update seemed to ruin all of that. I haven't found anything higher than 80k gold/elixer and even those are far and few between. I'm hoping this is just some temporary dry spell and not some huge change in the game.

I was getting AWFUL loot between midnight and 5 am eastern time.. Just had a few half decent raids though

The loot was good for me yesterday at m2. More 400ks than 300ks. So I decided to barch... I dropped all the way down to 2400.. and God it was awful. 2400-2650 was really crappy for me. I had to settle for 250k gold raids... The highest gold I've gotten was 338k... That's like one of the lower raids in m2. Moving back up and not dropping down for a long long time..

Once I hit TH8 it has been a lot harder to find good loot!!!

Once a week I find a good 300k or 400k but other than that I am spending 100k to get 100k....

and It takes 100k to get a good army and spells so it takes almost a full 2 weeks of fighting to get even 2 to 3 Million elixer I need for upgrades

Loot, this morning, was good. I got enough gold to get the last wizard tower headed to level 6 and enough elixer to get my level 3 PEKKA started. I was just about to say that the loot this afternoon has been bad, but then just found a 600K storage raid.

I understand why. It's a consistent problem that needs to be resolved somehow. The point of the game is to defend your base while attacking other bases to progress forward. Loot is what you use to do that. If you don't have any resources to fix up your base and attack other bases, what's the point of the game?

Previously I was a Clash addict, but I've already slowed down my playing a lot. If this keeps up for too long I'll probably only play a few times a day until I eventually abandon the game completely.
