Wow Logix, you've given us so much material to work with, guess we should take it one post at a time:
You're free to do as you like with your own money, but just a heads up, there are a huge population of players on here that have spend $0 and are having as much fun, or probably more fun than you playing this game, because unlike you they have the feeling of accomplishment for making it so far in the game without having spent a dime, which is quite a nice feeling of effort turned into results.
Gem boxes are random drops and it's a coincidence you haven't gotten any, unless you have so many decorations that there are not much free spaces for objects to spawn (are you getting a new tree or stump or mushroom patch every 8 hours? If not, make larger open spaces in your base to increase object production rate, thus, increasing your chances of getting a gem box drop).
This just seems like good marketing and business model on the part of Supercell. Good for them for building such an addictive and profit-bringing game. That's good that you can afford it. There are probably better ways to spend over a grand, but again, you're free to do as you wish with your own money so it's all good.
SC should not be sued lol. They did offered x amount of gems for y amount of money, you got what you paid for. I believe they even added an "are you sure?" type of message, plus a bit of explanation, when you upgrade your townhall now. I think I got that when I did my TH9 upgrade a while ago.
It's not a "so called" free game. It truly is a free game. Lol.
So because people choose not to spend money on a FREE game (and you choose to spend over $1000 on a FREE game), that automatically means that they or their family is on welfare?? That's truly funny! Here's an alternative thought......... maybe they're just smart enough to know that it's silly to spend a grand on a FREE game, even if you can afford it! Maybe they would like to spend a grand on a vacation, or on their mortgage, or on their spouse?
Again, if you want to spend a grand on the game you're completely free to do so. But when you criticize others for not doing the same thing and saying they must be on welfare because they're not as dumb as you to blow a grand on a free game, that's where you cross the line.
Once more, it's your money, you can spend the gems as you wish. Thanks for keeping the game free for the masses, we appreciate your contribution.
