Please use the Clan War matching system for all raids

Since the War ranking system is based on a town's strength and not trophies it's a more efficient way to match players for raids. It prevents bottom feeding.

    Then a TH3 could be n° 1
And there would be no need to develop your base.. so no

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The desire to develop your base should be motivated by the desire to move up in challenges and available loot.

If you are a person who hunts TH3 players as a TH7 where is the skill in that? Have you leveled up your TH and associated assets only because you want to be a bottom feeder? I suppose there's nothing wrong with that other than it provides no challenge.

I'm glad my clan has a policy that we attack our opposite number in the opposing clan. I was in a clan where a TH 7 would attack a TH5 enemy but it left our lower level players without a viable opponent.

    You didn't get me
If they use the same system as CW then a TH3 would found only TH3 right? then he could get to the n°1 player just by fighting others TH3, by doing that, there is no reason to develop the base
Yes, I like the challange, that is why I go againts higher TH levels than me, not the same
This system would not work in normal raid

I think it would work if it just mixes in higher as well.

You can only attack someone of similar strength or greater.

Maybe have a challenge slider that allows you to adjust how much stronger a base you'd like to attack.

The point the original poster is making, is one that will make leagues based on greater challenge and accurately reflect true raid skills. Right now, you have people just attacking weaker all the way up. meh.... means nothing in terms of true skills.

That way, maybe, but not quite

Right now the challenge is at master and champions, everyone is strong or have skill (minus sniper which are so little)

Explain why it wouldn't work ?

The idea is that you are attacking someone of similar or greater strength. If you beat them, you get the trophies based on the difference in strength.

That accurately reflects skill level. It requires you to attack people who will be a "challenge" for you to beat.

Not sure how you see this as a "maybe"

    I already explained why

Even if you fight someone of similar strength or greater, people can still use this to their favor to just attack people with barch at low TH level
Imagine is they just upgrade the troops and the army camp, they just need to not be offline to get very far
there are a low of flaws

I get the idea, but I wouldn't even like this. As a farmer, I wouldn't say that I "bottom feed", but I do sometimes target bases that might be lower than a town hall 7. Why? Easier loot with an inexpensive army. I don't always do this, as I only try to target raids with loot income of at least 100,000 each. So at the lowest, I have gotten lucky and attacked a town hall 5 with over 100,000 in resources. Also on the other hand, I have looted town halls greater than me. Depends when I want a challenge and when I want to get easy loot. As a growing player, I need to raid more in less time. So why take away the option to raid a town hall that is at least even ONE level down from you? In all honesty, this is how clash of clans works; you get the people who attack the weaker players. Farmers are some of the main people who target the weaker enemy to get they're loot sometimes. You get it some way and I'm not mad at them. Farmers even attack town halls greater than them to get 300K+ loot in a raid. If they have the loot, I will take it. It's not my fault if a town hall 6 is holding enough loot that I can steal 200,000 of it. I won't feel bad either.

P.S. The Clan Wars matchmaking isn't all that cracked up either as we still get matched up with enemy clans who are way more OP than us and vise versa.

So what if the matchmaking was based completely on offense vs defense ?

ie.. if you upgrade your troops/camps, you are now facing tougher forts.
