Quickly begins setting up grandstand at site of no man's land. Begins selling tickets. Also sets up popcorn and hotdog stands. Prints out T-shirts to sell. Brews extra mead. Raids a few more villages so as to have extra skull cups on hand.

The current process:
Brief summary of Leadership events. On Sunday the current leader will pass the leadership to a new leader. The new leader then gives the nominated bad donars a viking funeral. Rinse and repeat next Sunday.
Proposal:
That the above be changed so that the transfer of leadership take place after nominated members have been sacrificed to Thor.
The main reason for this is that it is likely the current leader has been more active and observant during the previous week so can therefore be better prepared and make an informed judgement as to the fate of low donators.
As always deadmans hand applies, should there be no objections this will come to pass.
That actually makes a lot of sense. I cant even recall why the old system was in place, I think it was something to do with letting the new leader get their hands bloody.

Looks like I may be able to hibernate in cavebears during my vacation! I will be gone for the first three weeks of April, with little internet access. I would ask when the hibernation rule becomes official, but I quiver at the thought of another drubbing. Not terribly viking-like, to be sure (said while sipping tea from a china cup).
I believe all hibernators are now gonna be hibernating in icebears
The proposal in post #26 above will likely become the new rule pursuant to the deadman's hand policy unless it is voted down.
That is how I understood it. Stay in cave bears. I am going to work Monday, on a one week temp. Job. I am staying at my daughters so she has the Internet. I will still be online. Have a good time boom.
A Proposal
We allow CaveBears who expect to be away for a while (say 2-4 weeks), to hibernate in the Cave. They would be expected to inform all Bears, via this forum, of their intentions well in advance, as many have done to date. If real life suddenly rears up and slaps them in the face, they again may remain so long as they inform, either in chat or here, of their inability to meet donation requirements.
I feel confidant that we are familiar enough with each other to recognise any who wish to take advantage of this process, and to deal with them in an appropriately barbaric and painful manner. An Elder consensus should be all that is required to make this judgement.
It has now been one week since the above proposal and no objections have been posted or raised elsewhere. The following will therefore be incorporated into the rules on the first page:
All Cavebears ( who have in previous weeks met the 200 donations) will be allowed to hibernate in the cave for a period up to four weeks. In order to attain hibernation status you must post on this thread in advance of your period of hibernation. If for any reason you are unable to post then you must inform either the leader or guardian.
Additionally the option to 'notify' (i.e. when those unexpected real life situations crop up which leaves you unable to meet donation requirements) remains and should you need to do so please inform the leader or guardian.
