    Welcome to the Cave Tiffany.

Re: Secondary Accounts. while originaly ambivilenet to their presence in the Cave, now that we are teetering on the brink of 'fullness' I too agree that we shouldn't really have them as permanent residents.

However, I do feel it is important that all secondary accounts know that they are always welcome (space providing) as guests of the cave.

Removing those new and sleeping leaves us:

    Eddie 71
    123bigboo 60

The Guardian recommendation is therefore that the following are removed:
    Ginger Lion
    Eddie

123bigboo is a long standing member of the Cave and a consistent donator, the guardian recommends that 123bigboo is spoken with to establish the reasons for substandard donations this week.

Nate almost made the count, again the guardian recommends that the reasons for failing to meet donation standards are discussed with Nate.

On a very positive note 12 bears with over 1K donations, excellent work Cavebears!!!

Post in memoriam Haskol - our deceased honorary elder and inspriring fighter

    Hello bears,
With great sadness must I inform you that the legendary "Haskol" has passed away
last night. He was not only one of the oldest vikings in my camp, but also well known
across various clans for his memorable battles.
I am sure he is now emptying some scull cups with his friends in Valhalla and
    is smiling over to us.

In Memoriam Haskol I decided to publish here my notes of an interview with him
that I had taken just before his 80th birthday celebrations:

    mayana
Dear Haskol, how are you on this fine evening with all your friends arriving for YOUR party?
    Haskol
    Where is the mead?
    mayana
Chantal is bringing you a cup.
So, how are you Haskol, "legend of the vikings"?
Many guys are coming to celebrate your great life.

    Haskol
Stop sweet-talking! I agreed to this "interview"-thing only if I get some mead!
    So where is the mead?!

(Chantal walks in with 2 skull cups of mead - Chantal is one of our new slaves that
we picked up further south along with a boatload of this reddish stuff they call "wine")

    mayana
Okay Haskol, You are known to...

    Haskol (interupting mayana)
Can I keep her here for the night?

    mayana
Sure, I guess that is okay. But in your age...

(Haskol gently slaps mayana in the face ... with a small wooden stool)

    Haskol
    WHAT DO YOU MEAN !?

    mayana
Okay, okay, I can ask Sjorre whether Jaqueline is also available tonight. Is 2 okay?

So you are known to be a master of the battleaxe, Haskol.
Do you have any advice for the younger ones ?

    Haskol
Sure kid! Listen: It is really of "no good" if the axe is too light. 6 stone seems right to me.
Well, 4 stone for you, you seem to be a bit feeble. You are chatting too much and not raiding enough.
    mayana
Okay, if you say so. (embarrased)
But heavy axes canīt be trown so effectively. Do you really think "heavy" is good?
    Haskol
I heard you talking about throwing axes... what nonsense! You are misleading the youth!
    You talk to much anyway!
HA! HA! HA! Throwing Axes! What a waste! Ha! Ha!
Listen boy: How could you take out 2 guys with one blow if you THROW that axe?
    Impossible! see!
    mayana
    ...well, whatever...
So you pillaged a lot Haskol. What were your favorite villages?
    Haskol
I used to go to what they call the underworld a while ago. You could find weird bases there.
I heard everything gets worse nowadays... and the underworld isnīt anymore what is used to be.
The mead was better too when I was young!
... What is this anyway that you have been handing me? Is this childrens mead?
    mayana
Chantal, can you bring us the good stuff! Fast !

So... I heard you totally wrecked most villages you plundered. What did you like best?

    Haskol
Town halls were kinda "lame": You could hardly find any loot there: 1000 gold and elix.
    Pah! baby toys!
Storages were my thing. I love the noise of the vibrating coins when you ♥♥♥♥ open
    the gold storages.
    mayana
So how did you feel, when you saw the kids crying while you were burning their village to the ground?
    Haskol
    I donīt understand the question.
    mayana
I was thinking about the pyschological trauma they might have gotten.
    Haskol
"psych..."-What? Get to the point mayana!
    mayana
Well, you steal everything and kill their parents... and they have no chance against your hords.
    They feel awefull!
    Haskol
What is your problem mayana? Who cares?
Are you wasting my time here mayama? ...you gave the answer yourself: They are weak!
THOR has no mercy with the weak. Why should I?
    mayana
Okay, let us try something else:
Since you are less active yourself the clan is now run by elders much younger than you.
How are the young elders doing in your opinion? (funny term "young elders")
    Haskol
Ha! Mollycoddles and whimps! Do they still wear bathing caps when they go into the water?
They probably take umbrellas on their boats too! HA! HA!
I knew you guys when you where still swinging wooden axes !! ... well maybe some still do what I hear...
    HA! HA!
    serious now:
    Those kids are doing fine.
But they are far too soft and "considerate" (I hate that word). Even sunday night arenīt
as much fun anymore. I liked the times when we were betting on out pet wolves to see
which wolf would get to bite the nose off.
The elders should swing the axe more often and do less typing on that
little shiny thing with the fruit on the back.
    mayana
Why would you care about the nose of our expelled members? ...Well forget it...
Have you followed the thing about mike, corugi and that "empire".

    Haskol
This gets boring here. I am thristy. Is Chantal done with serving the mead to the guests?
I want more mead too! ... and chantal... come over here and dance a little for me!
... sorry I donīt join you today on the dance floor ... ha! ha!
    mayana
Okay another thing: Since these guys from finland have shown us this dark elixeer stuff
we see all kinds of funny folks on the battle field: guys riding on hogs, flying blue things
... How do you like that?
    Haskol
If I see one of my guys riding a hog I will drown him personally in the fjord.
That is a clear "no-go" for anyone older than 4! look at those hairs too! Silly!
These Valkyr women are sexy however. I wonder what I need to do to get one of them to ...
    mayana (interupting)
Stop! I was more thinking about their value in battle. How do you see that?
    Haskol
I donīt see many battles lately now that I am missing a leg. Especially kicking guys in the
XXXX isnt so easy nowadays. I really miss that. I hear the dark stuff is just "fluff" to impress
the girls and make the guys in finland rich. I guess the next they do, is sell flags and statues to guys!
    Ha Ha!
    mayana
okay, last question: When was your last..

    CCRAASH
(some guy was thrown onto our table and Haskol started cursing and beating him with a wodden plate

Sorry, there was now way continuing the interview... and there was now more fun stuff going on
that I needed to be part of.

... I have got a supercomputer that can run an endless loop in less than 1 millisec.
    ... and I use it exclusively to run a web-brouser, because my quad-core 4GHz/16GB-ultrabook
with the high-end gaming graphics accelerator is at full CPU-load with word processing.
... unless I am using dice and a few sheets of paper to do some real fantasy role playing ("DSA")

    Donation Rules

    1) The minimum donation requirement is 100. Anyone under 100 is automatically removed.

    2) The safe minimum donation requirement is 200. Anyone reaching over 200 donations is safe from being removed (subject however to Guardian requests to move to Icebears)

    3) The lowest five donars are removed every week unless they have donated over 200.

To give you an idea how this works, imagine the following examples occurring by the end of the week.

Example (a) There are 8 members under 100. All of them will be removed. No other members will be removed.

Example (b) There are no members under 100 but there are 8 members who are over 100 donations but under 200. The five lowest donors of these 8 members will be removed.

Example (c) All members are over 200 donations. No members will be removed (subject to Guardian requests)

All members may leave Cavebears and move to our sister clan, Icebears, if they think they can not meet these requirement.

Any Riverbear may apply to join Cavebears if they have been in the Riverbears clan for at least a week and have donated at least 200 troops within the week, subject to there being enough room in Cavebears.

All Cavebear members with a high donating record, who have informed us of irl circumstances affecting their ability to donate for a period, are automatically granted the right to return to Cavebears and to be restored to eldership if they were previously an elder in Cavebears

All ex-Cavebear members who moved into Riverbears for the purpose of promoting and moderating that clan are automatically granted the same rights as above. In addition they are granted the title of "River Hero" and are have the right to drink straight from the beer barrel.

If by some other means we become aware that a member of Cavebears has had some real life circumstances (unexpected personal circumstances) affect their ability to communicate with us and be active, then at the discretion of the Leader or the Guardian, that member shall not be removed.

Guardian requests. Consistently low donors in Cavebears may be asked at the discretion of the leader or the Guardian to move into Icebears in order to make room for returning Cavebears, should there be inadequate room in the Cavebear clan or to make room for consistently high donating Riverbears who wish to move to Cavebears.. This request will override the provisions of donation rule (2) above.

    Summary
You can take this to mean that Cavebears will be for high donating people, while Riverbears will be for lower donating people and Icebears for very low donating people. People who cannot donate enough and will not move to Riverbears, who cannot simply understand that communication is a really good idea, will be removed. Painfully.

    is simply replaced by this:

Donation requirements: 200 per week. Archers or Barbarians are the standard donation troops.

As always deadmans hand applies to this proposal.

Please monitor chat activity. If you do not monitor chat activity then how can you see if anyone needs a donation? Pay attention to the chat on a regular basis. If an elder notices that you are not active in chat, yet you keep asking for donations, the elder may ask you to respond to them. If you do not respond you may be kicked for breaching this chat monitoring requirement of our clan. Again, this is especially important for new members. In other words, if you ask for a donation it would be a very good idea if you look at the chat immediately afterwards. It would be even better if you join in the chat and get to know people. We are friendly people, (as far as Vikings go.)

    As always deadmans hand applies.

    Proposal is now in effect.
