A little note to everyone reading this thread.
I just joined this clan today and I already think it as an awesome clan. My tip to you is; join this clan and follow it's rules and your clan experience will be amazing!
Also this river bears thread has earned itself a bump!
So sorry about the devastation of your clan, but you will be pleased to hear that one of your clan mates has started a new clan BLACK SUN RISIN. Look them up, they will be very glad to have you join them there. We are full at the moment, but Thunder Bears has some space if you wish to be part of the Bear Empire.

Hello fellow bears,
we have recently observed that a few bears have decided to make second gaming accounts in CoC and
apply for membership with the cavebears with both of them. I think we need to make up our opinion on this.
PROs:
- the secondary accounts are easy to integrate culturally (they "fit" and know the rules).
... while integrating new/other people fails in 50% of the cases:
failing to communicate, donate, inapproriate behaviour or them leaving (e.g. because they never had long-term interest,
spys, hoppers, leechers, idiots not seeing what they would miss...)
- a secondary account of an active player can bring even more donations to the cave.
CONs:
- places are used that could otherwise be used for new/other people that would enhance the diversity
in regards to personality, time zone/time of presence, background, humour, experience.
IMHO diversity is an asset in itself.
- When it comes to activity in "chat" and communication a second account is "dead", because a joke
or insightfull comment can be made only once.
- building consensus on things / democracy is a bit distorted.
- kicking people is more difficult because you need to remember the 2nd identity.
As you might remember ANY member is free to propose new policy and I hereby take the liberty of doing that.
I think the CONs weigh higher so my personal opinion is to generally discourage the membership of
secondary accounts with exceptions made by the leader being okay.
(e.g. a long standing active member had a 2nd account elsewhere that was asked to leave there...)
I would like to apply the dead hand policy to this.
So please actively post your objections if you see it differently. (Especially additional arguments would be appreciated.)

trophy level: Tell me where the best loot is between 0 and xxx and will go there
frequent user of apple hardware
proud user of prematurely placed healers (also soemtimes far away from the troops to be healed)
... because I am phycially challenged by the tactile requirements of my 2x2cm display (estimate)
donations: archers ... and other stuff if you ask politely (somehow no-one likes my wizards. why?)
Pls. try to join and ask for a dragon in return for your gobs within your first 10 minutes - I will show you
our catapults right away - including the in-flight entertainment package we have installed

donation numbers: >500 till thursdays,
but never as much as Megaan, DP, Tanys, Andrew, rudekid, :spoon, sidlon, deblet and a few others

I agree that secondary accounts should find a different clan. I do, however, think we grandfather in current secondary accounts of Cave Elders and allow those accounts to stay in the Cave.

Mayby it's an idea to start another clan for just secondary accounts? Although that would ofcourse beat the purpose of donating one self.
