For me, I'm fine with it. What if the preparation day ends in 12 am. However, you can't play COC in that time and still, you want to change you're base for the war. What if you are farming. And then you want to change your base for the war but if you want to change your base for the war, you must change your normal base. So, its pretty complicated if SC would be implementing this.

Not exactly...what I was saying is that keeping them separate is good for those who want it. I'm just asking for an additional button in the edit mode...say over by the save village button, where 'if you wanted to' you could tell the system to over write (replace) the war village or regular village with whichever layout you just created...it wouldn't be a requirement and should honestly be a fairly simple code.

Great idea! I was about to suggest the same.
It took me today 30 min. to change my normal base... wanted to have the same as my war base (only this time with the TH in the middle, of course, instead of storage)... now I'm pretty annoyed that I have to do all those changes again...
... maybe you build something cool in war base mode and want to have that in normal mode as well. Hence, there should be also a button that gives the option to copy war base to normal base!
