Screen Name - Ability to Edit?

Hello fellow members of the Clash of Clans community, SkyeHigh01 here with a suggestion. I've been playing this game for months now, and I'm starting to get tired of my name. My suggestion here is quite simple, and I'm sure many would support me on this: The ability to change your screen name.

Many people would love to change their screen names, especially those who really love to support their clans. In the event that this addition was added, of course, there would need to be some restrictions to avoid player abuse, such as:

- You can only change your screen name once a month
- Your screen name cannot include profanity of any kind
- Names including profanity already would be changed to a default name until changed manually

How would this work? You would access the screen name editing system by clicking on the Information Icon next to your screen name. It would bring you to your profile where you would have an option for editing your screen name. Many people would love this addition, as they could add simple 'clan tags' as part of their username. An example would be something like the following:

- The player 'Reborn' is in a clan known as 'Deadly Dragons'; he changes his name to 'DDxReborn'
*Please note that this is only an example and players could be much more creative.

I'd be for it, but think it can only be dome once a month and cost about 1000 gems to do it.

Gives SC incentive to do it,they'd make some good money if they implemented this!

maybe I didn't understand it correctly, but, if with "screen name" you mean the "village name" or your nickname, this is ruled out already:

Good idea with the limits, wouldn't want anyone fooling around with it, or abusing it.

1000 Gems seems kind of steep, was thinking maybe 100 or so, as you can only do this monthly, if implemented.

The main reason I really am hoping for this addition is because I'm currently in a clan of people whom I know in real life, the problem with this is that many of the people in the clan have the same name and there's no way to distinguish between them.

It would make more sense if a player couldn't have the same if a player already exists using that name. Either implement a system similar to this, whereas similar names would be reset to a random default name (this would be determined by when their account was created, who would keep the original name), or allow usernames to be changed.

It causes a small dilemma between clans, so it shouldn't be a top-priority update, but it would be much preferred. I'm sure many people would agree with me there.

I don't think this would be good. Your villagers wouldn't know where they lived and other players wouldn't know it was you unless you were in their clan or told them IRL. Imagine how confusing it would be it the top players changed their names.
