Yes we should receive some sort of symbol of recognition for playing the game for a year. That's a pretty strong commitment. I, myself, have been playing for over a year now and I am Level 117. I've spent no gems whatsoever. A badge of some sort would be great.

You are missing the point. No one is saying that this would harm people.


Games don't reward you for starting earlier. Games reward you for staring earlier AND making most of the additional time advantage over other players. Hence they give achievements for TH level, gold storage level, troop donations, as well as decorations for players who reached a certain milestone of level in this game.


Asking for recognition solely based on when you started the game is ridiculous. Imagine a player who started the game the moment it was released but is currently a TH5. Do you think he should be recognized for his "experience" or "achievements"? Even if there's a badge next to his name that says "2 years of clashing", and you see his TH5 village, how much recognition are you gonna give him?

What is wrong with Townhall 5 being loyal to Supercell? Why shouldn't they get achievement ? If they left at the beginning, chances are they don't want to play anymore. Why will they come back? For solely an achievement? What?! How ridiculous!!

Nothing is wrong with it. It's just that it is not an achievement as far as in game progress is concerned.

IMO, achievements should be based on progress. Number of days since you downloaded the game is hardly an achievement.

So you started playing earlier than most. My question is, so what? Doesn't say anything about how well you raid, how well you defend, how many trophies you got, how much loot you raided, your TH level etc etc. Those are the only things that matter.

Basically what i'm saying is that starting the game earlier than others doesn't mean anything to me. And i doubt it means anything to most of the people. It's just an excuse some people use when they fall short in progress comparison.

And i find it hilarious that you are asking to be regconized for the "achievement" of achieving less in game while playing longer.

I agree with the guy above me... If you don't want to be seen as a inexperienced player then farm your base up and improve your stats.

TH8 is TH8, doesn't matter how long you play.

If you started one year ago but are still TH8, perhaps you didn't actually "played" the game that long? So you are just asking to be regconized for the fact that you started the game earlier, which means squat tbh.

While this sounds quite harsh to a new forum member I do fully agree with it.

I also agree with the Original Poster as well and a number of people have made requests for other acknowledgments. But these are rightfully based on achievements, not date since downloaded. Yes, we can unlock a Pekka statue at level 75 (I think), but what about level 150?

My personal favourite was the Witch statue where the eyes would glow red if there were tombstones in your base.

Supercell tried to make a claim that there is a limited number of things people can have in their base. OK, well this is great, well why not limit the number of decorations/flags people buy? No need to walk into a base looking like the UN Headquarters. Then we could have more cooler stuff.

I think its a more impressive then post count. I think you get a bit of recognition on forums but yeah a badge on the CoC app would be nice. But that's what Christmas trees are for.

I can see the point of OP, but I also agree with the cons. A date of download is not an achievement, and while the missions are all based on in game achievements, what does a starting date really state for game play?
Also in game progression can be speeded up on account of gemming but also for being active and skilled at raiding.
The stats of raids won, resources raided and obstacles removed give lots of evidence from which it can be deduced how long a player has been into CoC and together with the base developement how much of it was gemmed.

A badge such as you are promoting seems to be something to gain recognition by, but what do you want to be recognised for? (I've seen a TH10 base, maxed out, and that was made neither by gemming nor by raiding, simply by sitting at a low trophy level and only skimming the collector out put. What kind of recognition is that worth? Would you respect such a player or his oppinions on the game? Would you value his advice, never having actively raided himself?)

Maybe you could think of something that is not only based on when you've started playing but also on how active you are?

And then there's always the forum. An active player will sooner or later recognise the importance of the forum and value the information and experience exchanged here. Here you do have a joining date, combined with post count and the odd post itself this can give a good picture of what I believe you want your badge to stand for.
