Geeez, you complain for guys to use the search option rather tan start new threads. Then when they do that and add their support you complain about them adding to an old thread. I mean really are you just trying to tell all fresh spawn to hld their thoughts and go away? Maybe it would be better if you laid off them and let them talk a little. It gets frustrating sometimes to hear the same thing over and over I understand that. But you can't just say 'no' to every way for them to express themselves. You are not helping the forum by doing that.

And of course no one pointed out that what if you're not a hopper, you're just looking for a clan that fits what you're looking for, but of course you have to join to really find out, and it turns out its poorly run and everyone there is an ♥♥♥. So now you're punished for leaving.

It wasn't a new member...it was someone who's posted a lot who knows what a bad idea this would be and wanted to bring it back anyway.

Understood, but he had his reasons. Even if I myself did not agree with him he has to be free to speak and it was still better than starting a new one.

But I have been seeing this back and forth for a while now with guys saying to use the search option (which is not out of line to say) but then when old threads get found and brought back and that some group complains about that too. I have not totally disagreed with either of those viewpoints by themselves but I don't think they can be pushed together.

My own 2 cents is that the constant new threads for the same thing is the bigger problem so if we have to pick the lesser evil it would be the bringing back of old ones.

Note that none of this has to do with what ideas I do and don't support but rather about allowing guys at least some channel to say what they want.

It would be one thing if he was like hey, this is actually a good idea. Otherwise, it's just making noise instead of letting bad ideas die.
