Did you gem your barracks before maintenance break?

I have lost a ton off boosts to maintenance.

I am curious to know if you have ever put in a ticket to ask for compensation? If so what were the results.

There are complaints like this every maintenance break. The break this morning was 1.5 hours, so some people will have lost nearly all their boost.

They wouldn't get away with this in any other industry - imagine if you paid up front for a taxi ride, and half way through the driver said his car needed maintenance so he couldn't take you the whole way but you get no refund!

I think legally they get away with it because gems aren't money, (even though most are bought directly with real money). It would be easy to sort out if they wanted to - just say anyone who has boosted in the 2 hours leading up to maintenance break would get all or some of the gems they used refunded. Keep complaining, maybe they'll fix it eventually.

I did, this is the first time this has happened to me and now I can't even attack.

Do we get compensated?

I have learned not to gem anything untill atleast 12 hrs after the update, untill all the kinks have been fixed.

You are entitled to get refunded... However you will have to wait for weeks

Of course they could fix it, but why would they? Supercell loves having subtle problems in their games like this and of course the infamous time lag bug, which compounds into a large sum of gems over time to equal more $$$ for themselves. They're not going to use money to fix a problem that will lose them more money. That's not how they roll!
