A simple solution to this would be to warn players beforehand with an in-game notification. For example starting from 2 hours before a scheduled update/maintenance you'd get a notification about the upcoming break whenever you log on. This way players could plan their boosts better. Everyone happy? I do not think so but it might solve most problems. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement this into the game.

I posted this before the update started. And who knows it is a 15 minutes update before it started? Don't try to flame here.

Yes, that is a better solution. A sudden maintenance (notified within 5 minutes) regardless of how long it takes, we still have a slight loss. I do not care how much are the gems that I lost worth, as long as it's a loss, I couldn't care less about it.

As Scorch mentioned it's only a 15 minute long maintenance break.

    Sorry, i didn't see that.
Anyways, yesterday Supercell said the update was coming soon. If you boost during that time, it's your fault.

This isnt as easy as it seems like. Supercell has to send the update to Apple before they can release, so they dont know when the update will be released on the App Store.

They did gave a time frame on when the update will be. But it just went through an update few hours ago. Who would expect another short maintenance coming soon? Did they even notified about this short maintenance yesterday? Did they?

Maybe they should pause the boost, but take away the gem boxes and obstacles.

LOL scorch, i agree with you that it is a 15 minutes maintenance ( which i matters a lot) , and according to you, they need approval from apple for the updates to go through and you don't even know how long will it takes. So yeah, you should not be posting about 'That is just 15 minutes and only cost you 6.xxx gems.

Why are people always boosting immediately after updates? Haven't you learned there is typically a maintenance break to shortly follow?
