    Wilber

This looks like Wilbur who works at the recycling plant come to beg old and excess lawn ornaments, topiaries and vintage bicycles at decent prices to be recycled and transformed into new and exciting decorations for our bright and shiny new Town. They will then be sold to us in his shop next to the recycle plant...At discounted prices, of course.

He goes by the handle Clarence Greene.
    Slickest salesman anyone's ever seen.
Makes deals for crops like the soy bean.

Talks through his nose, a most grating sound.
Finds his way to each farm, fair, and town.
Promises his prices are the best to be found

His practiced patter is so hard to bear.
Do not give in to it, not even on a dare,
But should you do, oh, sellers beware!

Easy to spot in his cheap striped suit.
To sell or not, the point is likely moot.
He'll fleece you & leave very little loot.

He'll shake a hand, pat a back, and gladly call you Bub.
He'll even offer to stand you one or two down at the pub.
And far too soon, you'll be a member of the pauper's club.

Head in another direction when he steps off the train.
Run fast, run far, be it bright sunshine or pouring rain.
Clarence Greene, salesman, is looking to buy your grain.

Happy to be a good neighbor & help whenever, but dairy/sugar/seafood cargoes are no goes. No challenges please. Communication is the key to contented players, SC!

    Albert C. Mahoney -- A.K.A "Cash Mahoney" -- A.K.A "Honest Al"

Born the middle son of a middle class dot-matrix printer salesman, he is ambitious and tireless in his pursuit of coins.

He cut his teeth on an abacus and majored in accounting in kindergarten, so feel free to take advantage of his volume discount, but don't forget to count your change.
