Reading the OP I wondered how an 11 year old wouldn't have any idea of what he was doing. I've seen the updates. Yup, haha. Kids are mischievous

You seem to be taking it well, Martin. Turn on those parental controls I suppose

They are very mischievous, we have 2 of them Parental Controls have already been switchen on - it's a long sit down and chat this evening.

I have a question to people who play this game:

Can his village / profile still purchase Gems or be billed for anything even when he's not playing? My understanding is this game continues even if you're not at the controls?

That's a bit harsh especially as you cropped his sentence to make him look bad.

Hope you get this sorted. It's a shame you've received all the (un)helpful parenting advice too.

I have a 3yr old who has worked out the password for the ipad by watching me typing it in. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm in the same position.

The (un)helpful parenting advice, I read them but I have my own views on parenting like most parents trying to do the right thing in life. Most people who comment on such cases don't even have children themselfs. I put my hand up and admitted I made a huge mistake for not passwording the Playstore, then the trolls start banging on about how bad a parent we are!

Funny you should mention that becuase this morning one of my colleagues had a similar issue be it a little older and they too made some purchases but via iTunes they managed to get a refund..

OK so this is going way off the topic which was in essence "How can I claim a refund" and going into a more general topic of the "youth of today" so for that reason I am closing this thread.

OP I hope you get your money back you are the innocent party in all of this and I am sure you do your best by your children, if the child is spending the gems and attempting refunds from Google+ within 15 minutes then a more serious chat about potential online fraud is probably needed.

    Thread closed.
Now retired from YouTube, feel free to say hi I always like a good chat
I still run my twitter account it's @daddy_clash (although I rarely tweet)
