Here is the link from Supercell(the developer of the game Clash of Clans) that discusses how to get a refund for in app purchases(gems) https://gamesupport.supercell.net/hc...rency-purchase

i hope this helps as it's really your best bet. Here are some other links you should look at. As a parent I assume you've realized giving a child ownership/unbridled access to a high powered computer with access to bank accounts(there has to be a real credit/debit account attached to the phone in order to make such purchases), and tied to the internet(which is not a child friendly place) IS NOT a good idea. Disabling in app purchases is something I highly recommend, as well as removing and banking account imformation. If there is no account tied to the device, I assure you the phone bill you are dealing with is not from in app purchases! Here is a link to managing the purchasing https://gamesupport.supercell.net/hc...hases-settings on your son's device. And finally a link to review you in app purchasing history (iTunes receipts) https://gamesupport.supercell.net/hc...unes-receipts-
Good luck, and I hope you can avoid this issue in the future!

...firstly thank you to everyone who as responded be it negative or positive. I've learnt my lesson and to that I've put my hand up and taken responsbility and I hope that our experiences will also be passed on to others.

What my son has done is the following:

Added O2 Wallet as the billing Company to his Google Play Account "Did not even know this was possible" but apparently there is an App that helps with this process. "This was not authorized by us his Parents"

Followed Youtube videos on how to purchase "Sacks of Gems" by using Google Wallet as his primary payment Scheme - he has no other method of making payment since Visa Cards are not accociated with his account.

He was given advice be it positive or negative to make purchases then cancel within the 15 minute Google Play Rule after using the Gems - 70% of the transactions had been canceled "Thank God" however 30% managed to filter through the system and he was awarded the items and subsequently billed for it!

He thought that by canceling he would not be billed, huge shock!

Please follow these instructions https://gamesupport.supercell.net/hc...rency-purchase (also accessible from within the game under help and support).

Don't panic this happens a lot when parents don't place restrictions on in app purchases and as this is a mistake I am sure you will be refunded.

I have to say though on this comment "My Son is 11 years old - He had no idea that he was purchasing items at cost."

I have a 12 year old and he has known for many years what in app purchases are - the prompt that comes on screen and the acceptance of that is absolutely clear that the person will be spending real money.

Thank you for the reply - His Sim Card has been deactivated and the Play Store has been locked down for him "Better late than never". My son has only had his phone a few months, this is all new to us too..

I have contacted Supercell via the in Game App and awaiting a response...

    Ha ha ha epic thread.

1- Why post here in forums? all you're gonna get is taunt, which you deserve. Forum is a place for the community of a game to speak to one another. We have no influence whatsoever in any support matter.
2- I have no idea if you're gonna get your money back, I sincerely hope you won't, just so you learn your lesson in life. It was your job to raise your child well so he does'nt end up doing something that stupid, you failed, you'd better be thankful to life so it's just about money and a game online, because your son could have done something way worse if he didn't get educated about life matters while using a smartphone with internet access.
3- 11 years old, and you don't blame him, like he "did'nt know what he was doing"? Oh my. 11 years old. I was in high school at that time in my life, please my good sir, be sure an 11 y/o boy knows what "free" means, knows what "€" means, he did what he did knowing exactly what he was doing, and the fact you seem to think it was all accidental sure shows you have no idea about life in general at all.

I'm getting aggravated by so much stupidity, so yeah, you should be grateful that you didn't get yourself and your son mixed into something way worse. My daily job is to be faced with people's stupidity's aftermath, so please good sir, at least feel lucky about it, bad education and not-having-a-clue-ness often lead to way more dramatic issues than 640€ bill.

Well the forumers aren't that rude people.

    Don't be so harsh

Till here very true, come on a 11 year old knows what money is.

, he did what he did knowing exactly what he was doing, and the fact you seem to think it was all accidental sure shows you have no idea about life in general at all.
Again this part is too harsh

    sorry but, themselves to blame.
regulatory breach of the duty of parents

I cant understand why so many little kids, 10years, have iphones and samrtphones

    This

This was clearly a parenting fail. An 11 year old should never have a smart phone.

    No, you really shouldnt have.

(just noticed you edited out the ellipses you had at the end of the sentence, which changes the meaning entirely)

Wow. You have one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen on this forum. The forum is supposed to be a place of kindness and helpfulness, which is exactly what this thread had till you showed up. Whatever's nippin at your nails causing you to post so carelessly, think twice. 640€ is a significant amount of money. The OP needs to be helped, and there's no reason not to give it.

Clean up your act, and try making a positive impact rather than a negative one.
