the clan's total trophy, how is it calculated?

I thought that the total trophies a clan has, are all the trophies from every player, in that clan, together.
But it seems it isn't like that.
The top clan has around 40 000 trophies, BUT if you count them all up, you'll get something in the 100 000 - 200 000...

So my question is: how are the trophies (you see when you search for a clan) calculated?
