Attacking is already hard enough we don't need automatic rearm traps.
So thats what human tastes like...
You are going to lose trophies overnight almost no matter what. The game is heavily favored toward the offensive units. That's why everyone is saying cut your losses and move your TH outside to a corner (don't forget to make it pretty). At least this way there is a chance that you will get sniped and only lose a few trophies.

GUYS STOP FIGHTING. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING WORTH FIGHTING OVER. MANY PLAYERS ARE HOPING SUPERCELL WOULD ADD THIS AND YOURE THE ONLY ONES WHO ARE DENYING IT WOULD HELP.
Now ive read the thread over twice and apparantly you guys who are fighting missed this:
And if you get 3starred, you lose so much of your loot, making you that much farther away than you were before you fell asleep from that next town hall upgrade or such. How about let's say that you unlock this at town hall 7, and the auto request unlocks as soon as you get a clan castle. This will minimize the amount of people who do this, allowing you to still collect lots of loot when youre a noob. And plus theres always that forever alone person who stays up all night and whenever theres a request fills the castle with giants or other troops that are bad at defense. These troops would still help but only minorly.
Now give up and play clash of clans.
I suppose so, and just hope you don't get 3 starred. I really just don't get why all other defenses function after being turned into rubble though. No one can explain that to me just offer little solutions that I already know. The point of this thread was not to be given ideas on moving my town hall outside my base, but to discuss why this should or should not be changed. But over the past two days not one person has come up with a valid argument to why traps shouldn't be automatically re-armed besides the fact that I'm lazy, ♥♥♥♥♥. As I said before I guarantee you if when they initially made traps they made them so they didn't have to be re-armed no one would have ever even considered saying "they need to be re-armed after an attack because they are too op". I think you can reasonably agree with me that would never happen.

People are allowed to not like your ideas too you know...
I expect some of the reason it's ruled out is that while you want it, many people would not.
I have many clan mates who farm and never re-arm traps. They would hate it if they were rearmed for them, high level traps are very expensive.
I understand not all people want it. My point is to bring up arguments why it would be a bad idea. As far as the expensive point goes, that is why you would have the option to have it set to automatically re arm them or not. It would be a option you could turn on or off in the settings. I also understand it is ruled out, but I am not going to let a person who has no clue what he is talking about make me look stupid which is why I kept replying.

I don't have a valid argument as to why traps shouldn't auto rearm I was just hoping to help with thoughts on "minimizing" the damage like I try to. I've taking my fair share of beatings over night by high powered troops. I've got the mindset now that it's going to happen when I have lots of loot I just have to accept it. I'm for basically anything that gives defense a fighting chance.
