Well for one, u should ensure that your splash damage are maxed out for th8.
Assuming thats done already, go ahead with ur tesla upgrades. I was like u also. A premmie th8 but got my splash up and followed by teslas and cannons (in an alternate order) and then archer towers followed by air defenses.
Reason why teslas play a big role in this base is coz it provides that added firepower for th8 players who lack xbow. And being in the core keeps them safe from giants allowing them to do their work relatively safely until archers/wizzies come along. 75 dps at lv 5 is ALOT of damage.
