Too true! Youtube vids are great, but usually need audio, whereas this and guides like it (wish there were more) allow folks to read during their "breaks" from work.

I mean, even if I was at lunch it'd be frowned on if I was watching some clash video with dub-step blaring and some British guy saying, "Next, mate, you've got to lure out the Clan support troops!"

You are very right about that! Not all people enjoy watching videos; I personally would prefer to read tutorials than watching them.

Farming elixir with loonion doesn't really work out, because your army costs around 90k elixir, and you are taking in around 170k elixir each raid, which means around 80k PURE profit each raid.
Bam is the best strat for elixir accumulation.

I understand what you mean but it does work for me, with the League Bonuses from each win. I have now finished farming Elixir for my Army Camps and Minion upgrades. Working on Gold and DE farming now.

For BAM, the problem for me is it becomes impractical for me at high leagues, needing a lot of Nexts before I can even find suitable bases to loot from with this troop composition.

I tried my first ever attack using these troops and your strategy. Success! I picked a really easy target, didn't recoup my loot, but had fun!

it takes to much time to train this type of army. this tactics is basicaly only good for casuals or gemmers.

Yes I agree. This may not be a strategy for everyone but at some points of time for even the most hardcore players (e.g. busy with work, studies, family etc), this longer-training-but-more-powerful troop composition may come in handy.

Just left with one Army Camp (completing in a few hours' time) and 3 more days for my Minion Level 6 completion! Can't wait to stir more damage in Master III (where I currently am now)!

The only problem with looning for me is that it doesn't really fit in with my life style I get back from school and do a 2h sesion of raiding I can't only do 4 attacks a night

I am a new owner of TH9 (got it like 36 hours ago). I upgrade my TH from 90% max TH8. And what I want to say is, I REALLY want to kick those who said loot at TH 9 is bad. That's not true at all. U will find a good loot if u find the right league. I got like 180k+ golds in each 30 minutes from Barch. Well it depend tho. As for the specific trophies. Read the thread about it. Find it yourself.

BTW, thanks for the guide, will try using loonion strategies when i have better lvl minions.

Yeah, um maybe it's because you've been gone a year but YouTube is literally flooded now with endless Balloonion TH10 strat channels, hundreds (if not thousands) of recent videos from Champ players showing how it's done.

Thanks for posting this guide! While i do feel its a little slower than bam/barch, I have to admit it is a LOT more fun! I'm not just limited to collector bases and exposed storages and 'nexting' 80 times to find a good base. But another note of importance, is that I'm no longer having to chase the loot, by that i mean i dont have to wonder what cup range to be in today to find it, it's always around in 1900-2100 vs me scouring the globe from 1400-1800 looking for the lost and abandoned bases LoL.

I know I've seen 1,000 Balloonions guides but i guess what motivated me to try it was the amount of loot you actually posted and also the small amount of times pressing next. Whats also cool was your spell composition. Before I would use like 3 rage and 1 lightning, or 2 rage 1 heal and a lightning. But doing it your way now with just 1 rage and just 1 heal cuts my downtime in half, cuz surprisingly I've run into a lot of people who don't have cc troops at this cup level! (Currently 1990 cups) so i only have to replenish heal/rage which takes a little over an hour, which is also conveniently done a few mins before my heroes replenish if i have to use them as well. Before I would really get turned off using Balloonions because waiting on all those spells would be madness when I was ready to just...raid!

So thanks for putting a nice twist on a familiar strategy, I will comment on how it works for me as i progress with it!
