Farming with loons is a great way to play the game.

Step 1: Get used to the technique by watching YouTube videos or practising in Crystal Leage
Step 2: Get as high as you're comfortable (either Masters III for a TH10 or if you can stay online between raids the Masters 1 / Champs)
Step 3: Get rich!

The higher you can get the better the loot. Here are some screenshots from my raids:

The reason is 95% of players in Masters II or higher have maxed defences/heroes/troops therefore plenty of resources on offer.

Yeah, but the bonus is bigger there. I found farming in Champs very enjoyable, and maxed TH10 there, however I needed my AQ to ensure the 50% on some bases. Once her and the BK were upgrading the wins weren't guaranteed. This can result in big trophy drops and back in Masters.

Can't have it all I guess.

Wow thanks for the big support! I appreciate it!

I use a very similar technique and sit in C1 or M3/M2. (Once you hit mid M2 you wil notice less potection on gold/elixer).

Id recommend searching out a thread written by Zach (one of the mods) some really good looning stuff in there.

One other tip as I see you are farmimg elixer. A whole CC of ground troops (wizzies/archers) can be taken out with one loon. A cheaper option than lightning when elixer is being farmed. Draw them all into a corner so that they are all on one spot then release a loon slightly before them. They will immediately shoot the loon down, it will land on them and the splash will kill all of them.

I have learnt something new and in fact tried using a Balloon to kill the CC troop, but missed the targets. Guess practice will make perfect?

Thanks! I have subscribed to your Champs' Balloonions thread too, and was in fact motivated by it to start this mainly for farming purposes at Crystal league.

The rewards sure look enticing in the upper leagues, especially the Dark Elixirs! Will continue to climb upwards!

I have to agree with powercage. At TH10, the loot penalty is really quite stiff and using barch will reduce a large amount of bases you can loot and even win enough times to maintain your trophies. That's what I felt with my Healer-Giant combo.

Not everybody goes YouTube or can access the videos (I am one of them during office hours), so I'm just offering another platform for clashers to refer to.

Also, have been noticing debates about poor loots in CoC in this forum so thought I could help put a stop to that too.

Too true! Youtube vids are great, but usually need audio, whereas this and guides like it (wish there were more) allow folks to read during their "breaks" from work.

I mean, even if I was at lunch it'd be frowned on if I was watching some clash video with dub-step blaring and some British guy saying, "Next, mate, you've got to lure out the Clan support troops!"

Farming elixir with loonion doesn't really work out, because your army costs around 90k elixir, and you are taking in around 170k elixir each raid, which means around 80k PURE profit each raid.
Bam is the best strat for elixir accumulation.
