Week-end farming

Hey guys,

So I just returned to Clash of Clans after a long break and I had an amazing farming week. (I consider 8m/day very decent taking into consideration that I am not able to play as much as hardcore farmers)

Friday the loot was still ok, although I only hit 6m, on week-end this has dropped to 4m. (both days)

I have searched Google to see if anyone else brought up this question and I couldn't find anything so, are you guys experiencing the same? It makes sense that more people play on week-ends, less targets and more farmers, but can it become really so bad? (50% drop)

I am farming in 1500 trophy range as a (fresh) TH9.

Edit: Just for the record, I am not complaining about loot - I take what I get.

I've had pretty much the same luck this weekend as I had during the week. Maybe depends alot on what league you are in, are you in some gold/silver league?

I really never have much trouble finding good loot. Maybe you just got lucky the weekend you got 8M. The inactive bases can be a huge factor as maybe you didn't run into as many, which then made you receive less total gold.

Also maybe it's your trophy range? Have you stayed in the same range of trophies this whole time?

I dropped to around 1000 trophies and stayed there for this whole week since I'm upgrading my th to level 8 right now. I've farmed the whole time it was upgrading since it takes 8 days, and the week was so sweet, I got a lot of collector raids, and quite a few had 300K gold or 300K gold and elixir(rare) and since Friday night, loot hasn't been as good. I actually have to search quite a lot to find someone with atleast 100K in their storages or in the collectors. So, I've been getting up and raiding as soon as I check my phone in the morning so I can grab the overnight loot that people have saved. This week I made over 4 million gold and 3 million elixir, which was maxing my storage capacities, but a lot of it was stolen in raids.

Sorry, I should have specified that. I am around 1500 trophies since I use the giant/healer combo and I just upgraded to TH9 so my giants are still being upgraded to lvl6, and my troops are overall not strong enough for a higher trophy range. (I gave Crystal a visit but it is out of my league at the moment)

Any suggestions? I usually boost my barracks for 2 hours each day, but it takes around 10 minutes to find a decent target. (and expecting at least 100k gold/70k elixir is not too greedy, my gold average is above 150k/raid usually)

I get the impression that gold league is by far the most overpopulated league atm so I would suggest to stay away from it during the weekends.

And I dont really know what you mean with crystal being to hard, it's not to hard as a TH 8. I'm there myself barching as a TH and I'm doing really good, and tbh even better then when I was farming in gold league. I find some inactives but I go for storages mostly, and the league bonus is pretty nice as well. It's all about learning your limits, what raids you should win and which raids you should loose but still make profit on. Maxed both my gold and elexir storages along with around 40k de in 2 days without any boosts.

To be honest I haven't spent too much time in Crystal, I was around 2100 trophies as a new TH9 - I did it for the achievement. I might give it another try and see if I can find better raids here.
