Gem sleeping Heroes / spells DURING a raid

Surprised this hasn't been suggested before (I did try searching for it), but I suggest:

During your raid, if you have spells being built in the factory, or a barb king sleeping...they appear on your tray as "grey" with a green gem on top of their faces.

During the raid, you then have the opportunity to gem them awake or complete...and then use them.

You can gem them before a raid, so why not during?

Supercell would likely get more gems this way, as it falls (quite strongly) into the "impulse buy" category.

    Thoughts?

Here are my thoughts. People are already accidentally tapping to deploy troops instead of Next, or ending battle instead of deploying troops, so who's to say they're not going to accidentally spend all their gems on this? Also, I don't think it's even remotely necessary. If you're know you're going to do an attack and you want to use Heroes/Spells, just gem them before the battle.

    Just my opinion.

    Mixed Feelings

Eh i am haing mixed feelings about this, first of all (reason i dont like it) Its your own fault if you dont gem it before you go and raid

Second of all (reason i DO like it) If you find a rly good raid and there is ONE thing left but all ur troops r gone, u may want it

I agree, the option is there to gem the stuff before the raid, so therefore it's your own fault for not doing it in advance.

But is that really a reason to not open up the opportunity to do it afterwards? It's your own fault for not buying the two liter of coke when you're down isle 14, but who's to stop you from grabbing a 20 oz coke for the same price as a 2 liter when you're checking out?

I would think SuperCell would be salivating at the idea, and frankly I would think gamers would too. ...you're right at the end of a raid and you need that one more boost to hit the 50% mark. ...or finish the town hall...

Hmm, should I drop those 34 gems and nail this raid?

YUP. You should. And you should be able to.

And for the comment that "people will just accidentally blow all their gems"...just add a quick popup--"do you want to spend 17 gems to awaken your barb king?" Not real tough, here. You've got that popup when you're gemming stuff before the raid.

Great idea. Even if not necessary but, it could be and couldn't.

And if Supercell wanted to, they could impose a 5% penalty too...for not gemming them before the raid. But just making them available to you after you hit "next" would be nice.

But...u want to waste gems and you don't know if u are going to need him so u see what u attack and then gem it if u need it, great idea fritz

They've lowered hero sleep time, but I wonder if they're considering this at all...

DEFINITELY agree here, I've misslicked plenty of times, whether it's spells instead of troops, troop A instead of troop B, dropped troop instead of next, the list goes on, and I would hate to lose gems off a missclick. I play non-IAP, it's enough of a struggle to save up gems for builders the last thing I need is to missclick on a barb king awaken and lose a bunch of gems.

The only other option is to have a pop-up, but that could interrupt spell/troop placement, which could make or break a raid.
