    Boosting DE Drills.....

I was bored and thought id work a few things out regarding boosting DE drills....

    Drill Data
-My my drills earn 100 DE per hour
-I have three drills (so in total they earn me 300 DE per hour)
-It cost 34 gems to boost a drill and double production

DE earned per day by boosting
    - for a day of boosting I earn an extra 300DE x 24 hours = An extra 7200 DE per day
    - so to boost all three drills per day it costs me 3 x 34 gems = 102 gems

DE earned per week by boosting
    7200DE x 7 days = 50,400 DE earned
    102 gems x 7 days = 714 Gems

cost of 100,000k DE in store = 3000 Gems
cost of 108,000k DE by boosting for two weeks = 1,428

I was considering boosting my drills for a week so I worked it out beforehand.

At 700+ gems for 50kish DE.... I'm not sure I'll bother. So there was a reason I worked it out.

This is why one gem boosts are so good! Mind doing gold/elixer collectors too?

I wouldn't mind them much since most of it is taken by attackers lol.

    3000 gold earned per hour
    3000 x 7 collectors = 21,000 gold earned per hour
    21,000 gold times x 24 hours = 504,000 gold earned per day

11 gems used to boost one collector
    11 gems x 7 collectors = 77 gems to double gold production

77 gems = extra 504,000 gold earned by collectors for a day.

The best return on gems is to boost racks. Effectively allowing you to raid 4x as much.

Definitely cheaper to boost mines - but you have to be constantly collecting to take advantage without raids taking them. As a raider, when I see the green circles around mines, I look a little closer
I haven't boosted elixir, and I only boosted gold/DE during 1 gem specials.

I would never pay regular cost gems to boost. For the same amount as one gold mine boost, I can boost one barracks for two hours and make considerably more gold BAMming (as well as the bonus elixir and dark elixir I earn on more attacks). For the same as one dark elixir boost, I can boost one barracks for almost 8 hours, get in many more attacks, and EASILY beat the 2400 dark elixir gain (as well as the huge amount of gold and elixir from more attacks).

I find that boosting only one barracks while BAMming gets me on average 3-5 more attacks per hour if I'm able to hit some collectors here and there. I'm never sitting with jammed barracks like if I boosted 2-4 barracks and couldn't find a suitable attack. And I get a few minutes to breathe here and there when I find a really fast storage raid...

But if you are spending money on the game rather than time (which understandably some do), then boosting mines/drills is a better value than gemming the resources.

I know but I want to upgrade my heroes non stop... And I don't want to farm for DE like a mad man everyday for the next 6 months. I like playing a chilled game attacking a few times a day, but I do want nice heroes.

I was just wondering if boosting DE drills was a viable option so I can play a chilled game but earn enough to help keep my heroes upgrading.... But dropping 700 gems on the game every week to boost Drills is not really worth the extra 50k DE it earns you.

Think i will just stick to playing casually and earning 50k DE from my unboosted drills.. And just have 1 hero upgrading all the time and not gem anything. Also I guess if I play like this sure my heroes will take twice as long to upgrade but on the + side I will always have one hero to play with while the other is upgrading.

If I were to get more DE from boosting non stop id do it... But as it stands I earn too little and won't be spending a penny. I'll just use the Gems I get from trees on spell factory now and then.

what would you say about boosting barracks? is it better to just purchase the automatic finish?

or is it better to boost the barracks?

ive been gemming troops so im wondering if gemming the barrack instead would save me some.
