Do you really need elixir? At some point most farmers are maxed and excess elixir just burns. Personally I keep my gold well defended and use elixir dumps as goblin magnets.

Shrug, may just depend where you are in the game. Gold obviously always has a dump until walls are maxed, but even if I try to ignore elixir while farming I usually end up capped for several days until the next research becomes available.
I'm obviously not currently capped on elixir, but given the nine days left on my PEKKA upgrade a lot of elixir is going to burn. Also, there's nothing special about this particular base design. I change every couple of days to try different things out.
I believe a few people from Exploitation have this design, not sure who came up with it first, but I'm not a fan. I used it and got archer spammed on the lower right, and they breached pretty easily, and hit 1.5 of my stores.
I personally like mortars more centered so the blind spots aren't easily breached.
It's done decently for me, but yeah I stole the design from an Exploitation member. But I've already found a new design I want to try whenever I find time to reshuffle things.
Damn, looks like I really need to upgrade my whole town. Been playing for 3 weeks and TH6 now (was at 1200 cups and cant get any higher..too many higher lvl kicking my ♥♥♥...and I just keep losing..any suggestions or what to do for TH6 town design? I just keep randomly changing my design.photo.PNG

Get rid of the double-thick wall. It is almost always a bad idea. Use the extra wall to surround a mortar, or resources. Then put a few spikes around the edges to discourage WB.
Look at some of the farming layouts. Put your town hall outside and focus on protecting your resources, and spending them down quickly. The best way to keep high level players from attacking you is to keep resource levels low.
