Any suggestions regarding army composition? Am I still able to successfully BAM up there with my level 1 minions, assuming my archers and barb are at level 5?
Sitting at 1400 trophies with a free townhall at the outside I hardly ever get attacked by a serious army, and if so, they don't take too much; Trapception is a killer. What about the hoggers up there? They could wreck my base easily.

Hardly any hoggers up to 1800, so 1600 would be no problem. As a th9 (220 army size) I mainly use 44 archers, 44 barbs, 32 goblins, 16 giants, 4 wallbreakers, 6 minions + heroes and have no problems getting at least 2 storages + collectors. I hardly use my whole army and I guess I would average 600k-1M / hour depending on available collector raids of course. There are probably better army compositions, but this has served me well enough.

Additional Information: My current army composition is designed for flexibility in terms of being able to use the tier one troops for collector bases all the way through to an all out base when the storage base is worth it.

I have been struggling to find consistently good Gold and De loot recently, I have been down as low as 1650 trophies and as high as a little over 2000. What is the actual best range for me right now.

Please note I am willing to switch to Balloonian raiding if it will offer more consistent and better loot. Also note all my troops mentioned above and and my balloons and minions are maxed for th9.

Hey man if you dont mind switching to Loonions i say high crystal 2 around 2300-2450 would be the best found quite a few dead th9s/10s offer anywhere around 250-450k with a decent 1.5k+ de. If you want to stick with your current combo i say 1850 or drop to 1450-1600( heard its pretty good there to farm gold, as for de down there it depends on your luck to find 1k+ here and there). Hey guys. Ok I hit TH9 ten days ago. Everything maxed at TH8 (except for dark troops).

I'd like your thoughts on my farming at the moment. I use two armies, balloonion for when I'm at work and can only raid once an hour. And a cheaper army when I have time to play. My farming range is 1450-1650.

Balloonion:
28x Balloons lv5
30x Minions lv3

Cheap army:
44x Barbs lv5
44x Archs lv5
48x Gobs lv5
8x Giants lv5
12x WBs lv5

At the moment, barring a mistake, I get 250k/250k average per balloonion attack, with 500-1500 DE.

Balloonion increases trophs, so when I'm at about 1650 I switch to cheap army and go for the collectors or peripheral storages. Here I can get 100k/100k with just a few giants and gobs, to an average of 250k/250k with full army (and luck finding the collector base).

Thoughts on how I'm doing so far? How am I faring with regards to farming as a fresh TH9?

I am th7 working on purple walls. I have all troops fully upgraded and need to know what lv to farm at and with what army configuration. I would like to try the barch army so I dont spend a lot of elixer. Im currently in gold III and I cant find bases with lots of loot. When I do they are to strong for the barch army. Any help would be appreciated.

Get yourself into storage raid. Gold 3 is still quite rich for TH 7-8, but the collectors were overfarmed. It's better to hit 150/150 k storages every few nexts than spending 20-30 k gold to find full collectors. Adjust your army accordingly. Use giants and a couple healers for support if you want.

Going higher to gold 2-1 might give you better chance to find full storages, but you'll be easier to be found by hungry TH 8-9 as well. So it's your choice.

For your cheap army get rid the giants.
