- Town Hall level: TH8

- Current trophy count: ~1600

- Current army composition: Barch, two barracks of each. I usually have ~120 barbs and ~80 arch, but this varies depending on how many of each I used in the previous raid.

- Army camp space: 200

- Extra information you want to tell me (optional): I have gotten only recent success in finding loot around the 1400-1600 range. I normally next roughly 15-20 times on average to find a decent base to raid. If I am straight-up farming, I never hit bases with less than ~180k of both gold and elixir (mines and collectors usually). I very rarely find bases with full mines and collectors which also total around 600k. My highest raid loot ever was found at exactly 1325 trophies and I pulled in around 950k. I should also mention that at this point in the game, it is taking me weeks at a time to find enough resources to pay for upgrades. My upgrades are mostly in the high 1mil to low 3mil range (gold), so it doesn't seem like an impossible feat to attain such resources, I just can't seem to find enough resources before getting raided and losing 150-250k... At this point, it's becoming more apparent that I'm not even using all 5 of my builders. I constantly have at least 2 inactive builders now.

One thing, Gold 2 is the last season. This season is really the Gold 1. Not only you'll find full storages, but also tons of inactive bases. Yesterday I even found TH 10 with 4 k DE in drills, just ripe for picking.

Now if you're either TH 8/9, I suggest you move up to at least 1700s.

what could I be doing wrong? I'm using 70 minions, 12 loons, 1 dragon. lvl 5 min, 6 loon, 3 drag

16 balloons, the rest are minions will do. Training time +/- 32 mnts.

Get some goblins in your army combo. Like, 40 goblins and 38 barbarians. A bit longer to train but quite effective as elixir usually is not guarded as heavily as gold/dark elixir.

Your trophy range is perfect, it's just that the new loot system has made loot very random.
