The forge would allow players to create different weapons for different troops. In a way it would allow players to customize troops. The forge would give extra strength to troops. Each troop would be able to have different kinds of weapons. The weapons could be upgraded to be made stronger. Also each weapon would have a special effect and some weapons would be more effective on certain things.
