    Supercell, please DON'T fix the loot

    Hi, my name is Geronimosemiro and welcome to my thread.

    A man's greed is truly endless. Even if one has a million bars of gold or millions of dollars worth of gems, they will always ask for more. If they get one million dollars worth of gems, they will ask for 10 million worth. If they get 10 million, the next stop is 100 million... since numbers are endless, so is greed.

    There is an example lately in coc about this matter. It is clan wars. For the last couple of years, people have been asking clan wars over and over and over again. So when Supercell released clan wars, everyone including me was very excited. I even cried in joy and danced a tango in the streets. Not joking.

    After a few weeks after the clan war release, I visited the brand new clan war sub forum and checked out some threads, when I found one with the title being: SUPERCELL PLEASE GET RID OF CLAN WARS

    ♥♥♥? I was literally shaking in rage. You people have wined for years and when you finally get it, you ask for a damn refund? Just pure STUPIDITY.

    Now that clan wars is out, the new fad is asking Supercell to change the loot, just like how they complained and begged for clan wars. But what happened when clan wars came out? It created idiotic threads about unfair matchmaking and not enough clan war loot and more shenanigans so huge the amount of threads complaining about clan wars would be able to, in letter length, wrap around the earth 10 times. Look no further than the first page of the clan wars section.

    Do you think people will stop complaint if Supercell fixes the loot? Nope. Like I said, a man's greed is endless. Soon there will be threads about getting rid of fixed loot, I guarantee you.

    Loot is perfectly FINE. It just requires a little bit more investment, that's all. If loot fell from the sky for free, people would take loot for granted. This is why people who have won the lottery aren't happy. It's because it literally just fell from the sky, and they didn't have to even lift a finger to get it. It doesn't feel special. What feels special is searching hard and wide until you run off with 800k. That's happiness right there.

    If you don't have loot, GET IT WITH YOUR OWN SWEAT AND TEARS
    If you don't have enough gems, THEN START SAVING UP LITTLE BY LITTLE
    If you think clan wars sucks, QUIT THE GAME AND START BOOMING BEACHES

    Nothing is made without your own hands. We made the Empire State Building, phones, and computers by ourselves. They didn't fall from the sky, didn't they huh?

    So I beg you Supercell, don't change the loot. It will only make things worse. Trust me, fixed loot is a fool's gold.

    Did you read the reasons why people are complaining about Clan Wars?

    Nothing to do with loot.

    It's the inability to Opt-Out, causing clans which have been together for over a year breaking up. It's the inability to use upgrading Heroes when they are included in the base matching. It's the inability to fight a fair war when so many are che@ting. etc etc.

    Okay mister 2013... have it your way. I was just referring to how much people complained about clan wars, and I don't want that to happen if the loot get changed. Also I know there are a lot of reasonable complaints about clan wars but seriously some of them are really stupid.

    Welcome to the internet and life in general. Complaints don't change facts or data and Supercell has both.

    FYI there is a loot hot fix being done tomorrow which will double all available loot, for People with lvl 11 mines n pumps.

    I love the loot right now Im raking in tons all over the place. Maybe because im a th 8 but keep it the same please

    I think the only way to "fix" the loot problem is for SC to ban people from playing the game so much. How else will we get endless collector raids unless we have fewer people playing. ;-) Perhaps, they could limit each player to playing one day a week.

    We should also petition SC to not add any new features because new features make people want to play more, which adds to fewer collector raids.

    On a serious note, loot was just fine prior to CW and it's just fine now. The issue is simply that a ton more people are playing the game so there are a ton less inactive bases. Yes, it effects overall gold per hour because you don't get 2 or 3 300k/300k/2500 dead bases every hour now.

    It was horrible when CW first started because so many people were playing, but it's gradually been getting back to normal. I'd say it's at 80% of where it was pre-CW and getting better by the week.

    Translation... The more people that play the game actively the worse loot is and I am ok with that... Or... People are getting semi-inactive again and loot is slowly going back to normal, meaning more semi active people to raid their occasional collectors from.

    Dont you think that a loot system that requires a certain level of inactivity for it to work is in fact, the problem?

    There have been tons of easy suggestions to fix this... I will list a few of the more realistic ones, and all will help the game while providing more loot.

    1. Put importance on townhall, 25% of loot could be in the townhall for example... This will instantly stop townhall snipes and keep many more full storage raids in the queue.

    2. Increase loot bonuses for winning more stars! This will get people to make bigger armies for bigger hits... More rewarding, fewer bases hit, more bases left in queue, less grazing on collectors. Active people should be able to raid active people and get rewarded. As it is, this is not the case, it is terribly inefficient use of time to raid active people for resources. Make it more attractive to take bases out 100% for loot bonus will help a lot.

    3. Address nexting costs by one of three ways... Simply lower them, or improve matchmaking... Or, upon a win, you could get that gold back maybe based % stars you win... Or, the base you skip could get the gold potentially.

    4. Increase the collector/mine output... It is dreadfully sad how little they produce and yet they are supposed to feed the games raiders AND the raidees... These collectors were fine for th8 upgrades, the game has gone far beyond those costs and the collectors should have increased as well.

    5. Cut spell cooking times in half! Spells are basically a necessity in order for storage raiding. The game is pushing us all to raid active people right? Well, active people hide their gold in storages that need large armies and spells to get. Waiting 2+ hours for spells is beyond unnecessary. Shorten the cook times, people will have more fun, attack more often, it is a win win. The more ways to help keep the game mobile the better.

    6. Queuing of spells... This is obviously needed... Boosts get wasted, no reason this does not get implemented.


    None of those will hurt Supercells bottom line. Every one of them are easy fixes. The game design should benefit from more people being active, this addresses that. None of the changes make the game easy, they make it a lot more fun! People having fun spend more gems. Supercell makes more money. Frustrated people or people who log on every 3 hours to raid one time do not spend many gems.

    I have to admit, I really like your suggestions.

    I tend to take the approach of maximizing my farming no matter what the system is. We're all forced to live with the same rules, so I relish the challenge of being "more successful" than the next guy no matter how good or bad the loot is.

    I do agree with what you're saying though that if the loot gets good or bad based on active players (which it does) then there is room for improvement.
    I truly enjoy hitting bases with full army's, but it's not a practical farming strategy at all because of the potential gold per hour. I'm not sure what the right solution would be, but I like your suggestions with the TH loot and reduced spell cook times. Three hours for 5 x TH10 spells is a bit much. lol

    Really? I see more loot bonus complaints than all the others you've listed, and if you're on here at all I know you have too.

    OP you're right people could be raiding with the time they spend on here complaining about their hopeless loot situation. The only people I don't judge on the subject are town hall 10's since I'm not there yet.
