I defend every hog raid as a th9 in gold/crystal and i defend most of them in masters.. Maybe you just need a different layout

I strongly recommend leveling them up and give them a go. I used to think similar to you that hogs were way too OP and super easy to use with insta 3 stars on every base. Well, I leveled mine up and tried using them for a while and it's a lot harder than you think.
You have to be able to pull CC and heroes and dispatch them because if you don't do that you're toast. If you get into a ring base by not recognizing it right away, you get torched quickly. With some practice, you can get to where you can consistently 3 star weaker TH9 and below bases, but the cost of 2k DE is astronomical and unsustainable in anything other than very high trophy ranges where 3 stars aren't very frequent.

You'll next a lot trying to find a base with 2k DE that isn't a TH10 with disco balls anywhere in GoldI/II/III. Even Crystal III is fairly rare.

Good luck and I hope you have fun with your new base. There's nothing more fun in CoC than watching an all out Hog attack die a horrible death on a ring base.

Instead of complaining about Hog Riders have you tried solving the problem? Maybe your base is complete ♥♥♥♥? Do you have an anti-hog base? I have an anti-hog base and I never get raided by hogs and when I do I almost always win. Complaining about the game just because you suck isn't going to help you.

I have an anti hog base hybrid transformer that works beautifully. Ive only been one starred by hogs and two starred by flying troops. However someone did make it to my center using hogs once. Some people are pros with hogs..

hogs are great in my opinion. But to not like the ONLY BLACK icon on the game because hes strong seems a bit, sterling-ish.

Oh here we go another of the hog complaint threads.
Let me enlighten OP just in case you are unaware:
HOGs are NOT A GUARANTEED 3-STAR ARMY

1. Hogs have been nerfed like 4 times in the past, you are aware of this already.
2. It is not rightto say that hogs require little to no skill. Hogs require A LOT of DE to make in the first place, and requires SKILL to be able to skillfully beat other (developed / maxed) TH9, if you ever try pushing for Masters using Hogs will know this. Anti-Hog bases are there for a reason.
3. They do NOT ruin clan wars, period. I seen PLENTY (a lot really) of Hogger-Wannabes that miserably fail against the other TH9s.
4. The only bases that do not require skill are TH9 with ♥♥♥♥ designs or those TH8s, for those I wouldnt even bother using Hogs in the first place.
5. For every issue, there is a solution. But there is one thing in common, nothing will change for WHINERS. Next time seek constructive advice and people will be happy to assist you instead of complaints, which will attract unwanted flaming. If you gonna point out something, learn the actual FACTS before posting and not just the things you personally experience. That is all.

I am TH9 too, and not a single person managed to 3-star me all the way to Masters. (Hogs or not) The ones who get to 2-star are REALLY SKILLFUL ones that I'm sure I couldnt pull that off myself.

Even at TH9, I had a comfortable time defending against hogs using a ringed + resource protected base. With Infernos at TH10, it's even more comfortable now.

I AM currently TrophyHunting With a Antihog base and have been one starred only once and I am already In crystal 1! Use brains and don't complain. Strategy That's ALL CLASH is About!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ OP : I'm a TH9 myself.

Hogs never did more than 1-star my base, in multiplayer and in clanwar.
Just get yourself a nice anti-hogs base.
They usually work well against Giants and Balloons as well, yet tend to be a bit vulnerable to BARCH.
