Thread: A huge problem with the game! A must read, this must be stopped!

    In this post I will be discussing the madcap 'Hog strategy', a complete and utter game killer that ruins the fairness and legit nature of this game.

    I am a Town Hall 9 lvl 95, who has been playing this game for over a year and so far I have enjoyed it, but the introduction of the over powered Hog strategy is RUINING the game for me as I'm sure it is for a lot of you too. A simple 32 Hog army can flatten any town hall 9 within seconds with little to no skill employed by the attacker. Utter madness if you ask me. Not only is your hard earned loot being stolen in multiplayer battles BUT the Hog riders ALSO ruin clan wars too! You would think approaching the game that the best clan would win the clan war, well I will tell you now this is most definitely NOT the case. In fact it is quite the opposite, who wins the clan war comes down to which team has the highest leveled Hogs and is prepared to use them as they are a guarantied three star raid even by low skilled players.

    This must be dealt with by supercell because the previous downgrades given to the Hog Riders are obviously not enough as they are still a three star army every time.

    I am sure this post has been created dozens of times before, however I think this should be it, no more over powered Hog Riders. The solutions I have found regarding the issue are displayed below, however note, these issues were not just thought by me but are ones I have found on online databases and youtube videos.



    • Firstly, the Hog Rider could possibly be made to not be affected by heal spells. This sounds simple enough, yes they still would probably be the go-to troop, however without heal spells it would either require more luck or skill my the attacker to three star a base.
    • Secondly, the hog rider could be made to attack everything again, not just defenses. I believe this was the reason they were made more powerful in the first place as they seemed almost useless, but nevertheless this would be a solution to prevent the easy three star raid.
    • Thirdly, the Hog rider could be made to do a lot less damage OR move slower. This would make them easier to be destroyed and if they were so slow people wouldn't use an all Hog army as there would not be enough time to clear the base up before the three minute time limit runs out.
    • The fourth and probably most controversial option would be to remove them all together, this is one I am not in favor of, but it would solve the issue.


    The above solutions obviously not the only ones, however I think they are all valid and I thought they should be mentioned. If you have any other ideas of how they could be made less effective please post them down below.

    I am sure this post will attract negative and positive feedback and ideologies to making the Hog Riders weaker, but I am sure that the majority of people WILL agree with me on this one.

    The fifth solution should be removal of Hogs. Yes, delete Hogs from CoC. Happy?

    Or the fifth solution is for you to use anti-hog base layout. Your call.
