    New Dark Elixir Troop Idea: The Outlander

    NEW DARK ELIXIR TROOP IDEA: THE OUTLANDER

    The Outlander is a trained coward fighter that's experienced in the art of spear-throwing. The Outlander also expels a poisonous fog of corroding toxins from the gap within his mask which can inflict major defects within mechanical defense structures!

    When the Outlander is spawned it will attack any defensive structure. The Outlander will release corroding toxins whenever it feels threatened. This can occur when multiple defensive structures attack him, or when Clan Troops or Heroes enter within its attack range. This special ability can only be used once per each Outlander. The Outlander is a Dark-Magic user which makes him 2x more vulnerable against Wizard Towers. As his metallic spear acts as a lightning rod which he can strike into the ground to absorb electricity this warrior cannot be bested by the Hidden Tesla!

    The Corroding Fog or Purple Fog.
    The fog damages buildings in the following ways:

    - Causes defense atk. speed to decrease*
    - Causes defense atk. to decrease*
    - Causes AI targeting to change and attack building structures for a time
    - Causes defense structures to be incapable of locking on to specific troops for a time
    ex. Cannon's would be unable to lock onto one specific troop but would rather attack one troop, and then another if one exists within its range.

    NOTE! Only one defect of the following above may be given to a defensive structure. In most cases, only the above "*" defects would be dealt. The other 2 would be much more rare.

    Defensive Mechanics:
    When concealed within the Clan Castle the Outlander will release a variety of fogs:

    The Green Fog - Has herbal remedies that will give your clan troops a small health increase (if they are in range).

    The Blue Fog - Revitalizes your troops and gives a small boost in movement speed (if they are in range).

    The range of any of the fogs mentioned takes up 6x6 tiles.
    Because the fogs would create rust on metallic surfaces, PEKKA's would be unable to move for 10 secs if they get caught within the fog.

    I really like this idea, very balanced, except that the health is much too low, many of The Outlander's abilities rely on him taking damage, however, he does not have enough health to actually deploy these fog bonuses after taking damage at higher lvl th's

    I agree this troop needs more health it would be useless against th 10s and 9s

    I would give him more than that but the fact that this troop was supposed to be a coward fighter (and that I felt people would consider its abilities OP) I thought that it would have to be a little on the weaker side. But if you both feel that this troop needs more HP, I'll edit it. Glad you both like the ideas!

    I would appreciate whoever is voting "no" to please explain why they dislike the idea. It helps me improve upon the idea to make it better suited for everyone.

    Edited OP. Talking to a friend in real life who read the idea, he had asked if the corroding gas would have a type of effect on PEKKA's. Thinking it over I think that this would make for a fair ability:

    Against PEKKA's, the Outlander will cause them to rust causing them to temporarily stop for 10secs.

    I also came up with the idea (as the Outlander is a Dark-Magic user) that the Outlander would take 2x damage against Wizard Towers. As the warrior's spear acts as a lightning rod which circulates electricity into the ground, Hidden Tesla's would not be able to harm him.

    As my Vindicator Troop idea has been getting a lot of recognition and feedback lately, I wonder if more people got a chance to see this other troop they might have the same reaction.

    Just going to do this once and see if anyone responds.

    Love the idea! I think that the whole thing is great, but here are some things I thought of.

    Defensive fog:

    Yellow: heals the building that was damaged a small amount if no attacking troop is in range.

    Black: If a troop is in it's range, it will send a billowing black fog to deal maybe 15-20 damage on all the troops in it's range.

    Blue: Makes a fog of pale blue vapor go around the base until it finds a troop or a group of troops, then freezes it/them temporarily for 1.5 seconds. The black and blue fog occur randomly when a troop is in range of the outlander.


    Offensive fog:

    Red: causes 30 damage to all defenses in it's area.

    Green: Instantly causes 50% damage to all clan castle troops no matter what kind.

    Purple: for 15 seconds, all buildings in it's range will be lowered health by 50%. The fog will swirl around the buildings to make them weaker. Random with red fog.


    There are some things I would like to say though. The outlander should have low health so it is not too overpowering, but can be shielded by giants. But because the troop is so powerful, it should be like the wizard. Low health but kind of magician looking, a big person with a wand and a dark cape. Also, one outlander should be allowed 2 or 3 fogs, so it's not too overpowering or with 1, just a waste if it doesn't do a perfect job. That's it! Let me know what you think of the idea.

    Nice post! It's cool to see that you suggested some types of fogs the Outlander would release but in my opinion with several Outlanders releasing these fogs you suggested the Outlander could become OP in a matter of moments if enough of them released the 50% HP lowering fog. I'll take into consideration the possibility of lowering the HP if others agree that it should be reduced though!
