Anyone planning to stay at th 9 ?

i plan on maxing out at town hall 9, except for the walls.

after that, i hope town hall 10 doesnt ruin the game for me...

i just really want those upgrades and infernos.

Thanks for the thought out reply. However, you made a couple of assumptions that just are not true. First, as a TH9, I farm for DE in crystal 2&3, just like you as a TH10. So I have just as much access to the decent sized DE amounts that you are referring to. So that perceived advantage is not real.

Secondly, you said that most DE farming comes from TH9 and TH10 in that trophy range (low Crystal). I have had a different experience over the last 6 months. Most of my farming comes from TH9 which I receive no reduction against since I am at the same TH level. Second to the TH9, I farm mostly TH8s. As a TH10, you are pretty much forced to skip these bases because they appear with hardly any loot to you as a TH10 but they are juicy targets for me @TH9. Occasionally, I will attack TH10 but it is less frequent than the 9s and 8s. For these attacks, you and I have no difference. So there is a real advantage to being one TH lower, the juicy TH8's.

Based upon the two points above, I remain convinced that TH9 is better for DE farming than TH10. I do agree that the extra drill is tempting but I think my advantages in farming offset the impact of the 2400DE from the drill on most days. If you have a particularly inactive day, I would admit that the 2400DE would not be able to be offset by farming advantages.

I don't really disagree with much you've written. If anything I'd say it's maybe a tossup depending on playing style.
Personally, I've been farming for Gold and just get whatever DE I get and it's been flying in the door a ton faster as a TH10 than it ever did as a TH9. I'm sure this is due to me now farming in Crystal II/III vs. Gold I as a TH9 though so it's not really anything special about TH10.
I would say that TH8's don't typically offer much for DE in general because they only have the one drill and often don't farm DE very much. So, losing the TH8's is minor IMHO.

As for comparing farming in Crystal II/III a feel TH10 has a noticeable advantage with the extra 20 troop spaces and spell. Meaning they can get a little deeper, get the 50% for the win bonus and ultimately get more DE.

The good news is that both TH9 and TH10 are great for farming DE, so I would never say go to TH10 to farm more DE. I mostly try to emphasize that TH10 isn't the farming graveyard many make it out to be.

I plan to stay TH 9 forever. Until everything's maxed. After that, then quit.

TH 10 is too much of a grind. I like my real-life too. I know my limits.

I feel this way too... Besides the alrighty infernos and level 4 drags, i think theres no incentive for me to go up and suffer farming.

maybe 50% lv10 walls then trigger TH10 update... my hero lvl 26 n 25 queen/king respectively. i cant be bothered maxing 30, they were a grind. i boosted for the farming of DE though... maybe might do the same for lvl 10 walls... currently 8/250.

i remember when i said level 10 walls were freaking expensive and impossible to do... strangely now im doing them.

TH9 for over a year now.. just 60 skull walls to go to full lego walls then Im going to TH10.

Certainly nothing wrong with maxing TH9, but TH10 gets a pretty good pop with the extra 20 camp spaces, freeze spell, and extra spell.

As for farming, it's really not that bad. Sure, if you're living on TH8 collector raids then you'll have to switch to TH9, but my loot has been just as good as a TH10 as it was as a TH9 and the new offensive/defensive additions are excellent for CW.

I will soon have my TH8 maxed and go TH9.
I hope until I have maxed defenses for TH9 Supercell will have released TH11 so the decision to go TH10 will be easier then.

This was after the change but quite a few hours a day. One of the advantages of being bed ridden and sick for the week. Not sure I would have bothered maxing level 9 walls otherwise.

It was an absolute ton of abandoned bases though. Not sure if Supercell have made tweaks to further remove these from the game since then.

I am doing this right now. Defenses maxed, only golem and Valkyries left in the lab. Will farm heroes and walls for a few months now.

TH10 is a mirage ... you upgrade and immediately your access to resources just vanishes !

Not true, there is tons of loot in Master and Champion leagues.
