I am a nearly maxed th9 and just started my TH10 upgrade earlier this week. All my TH9 buildings will be maxed during same week my TH10 upgrade is complete. Most of my walls are lvl8 with about 30 lvl9 walls.

If your buildings are maxed when you go to th10 and if have 5 builders building 24/7 it will take a little over three months to max out the th10 buildings (not counting walls and heroes). Makes more sense to me to max the buildings first and work on walls and heroes afterwards, since those will take longer. Also during this time it gives your level 8 lab troops time to cook.... instead of waiting until your town hall 9 walls and heroes are done, then upgrading to th10, and then cooking lab troops afterwards.

I'm a TH 9, just started on Skull Walls, most of my defenses are 1 lvl from max, most of my troops (excluding DE) are maxed, except Archers, which I choose not to waste elixir upgrading, cuz... the upgrade sux.

Archer upgrade is one of my favorites. When I first jumped to th9, I looked at the small increase in DPS and health and thought it was ridiculous. But the DPS per camp space is actually a more sizeable jump because they only take 1 space. My farming has been 50% archers since, and its nice when some of those th8 and preemie th9 mortars can't one shot them, and when some wizard towers are taking 3 shots or more...

We are hoping to have several top players in our clan stay at th9 to do walls and heroes to a significant degree. Besides the loot and NEXT penalty, th10s seem to be pretty heavily weighted in Clan Wars matchmaking, while walls and heroes do not. Right now we love getting matched up with clans with no th10s or only preemies taking us to 6-0.

Agree. Archer lvl6 is one of the most important upgrades of the game. There are several posts here of people using just archers and barbs to get to the higher leagues. There's a noticable difference between level 5 and level 6 troops.

Im at th9, doin lvl 10 walls..and i have little def left to do, didnt want to do them while doin lvl 9 walls so i wouldnt get bored.

Currently I have 70 million gold until my walls are all level 9. I'm 90 million away from having all my defenses done. So I'm about 160 million away from having my base as far as I want before I go to TH10.

To top that off both my heros are level 16. I want them to get to at least 20/20 before TH10. So add that together and I'm probably 2 months, maybe 2 and a half months away from starting my TH10 upgrade. Soon as I'm ready for TH10 I'll hit the button without a second thought.

I will stay th9 until either my walls or both heroes will be maxed, everything else is maxed.
Queen is 30, king going to 20 and 63 lvl 10 walls left.

I'm done with all troops, except the Valk, all defenses except the ADs need 1 more level - working on Walls and heroes. Once I've got Heroes to 20 something and Legos I'll think about it.

Farming at TH9 is interesting. There's so much elixir that I don't need to worry about Army composition, it's all about time to raid, so I can build some heavier armies if I know i'm going to have a gap. Makes for quick and fun snacking when I have 5 min to raid...

Yeah, you should stick to this plan if possible.

As a TH9 you just need to drop to 1,250 to 1,350 and there is an absolute ton of easy loot (Gold & Elixir). Without boosting I made over 100 million in 6 days at the end of TH9 (finishing my legos).

As a TH10 you have literally nowhere to go for easy loot. I didn't build my first lava wall until every defence was maxed. I'm now looking for loot to complete a few walls and farm DE but have no options but to boost all my barracks. Not happy about this but what can you do?

Oh, and as a TH10 farming with Tier 1 troops you can forget going anywhere near Inferno Towers. They have affectively killed low troop farming. Because of this I can only beat up TH9s or premmie 10s. Loot penalty cripples you here too.

That was then, now it is a empty pit. Gold 2 is the optimum loot zone for TH9. About boosting it's not really necessary with the long upgrade times, unless you are elite trophy pusher. I have maxed out my Th9 Defence, and ATM I'm working on legos swiftly {175/250} there is no desire for me to go to Th10. The loot is dismal, make the best out of Th9 do as much as possible, this has been torture for me, but at the end of the day it will be worth it
