Attention Town Hall Snipers!

Some buttmunch decided to snipe my TH, try to get into my storages (failing miserably) and then got a big set of balls and dropped 2 lightning spells on my Dark Elixir, attempting to salvage his pathethic raid. He managed a thousand or so gold/elixir, and 117 Dark Elixir.

The revenge button was touched as soon as I saw the lightning dropped. With a farming army, I got 83% of his base, taking over 700 dark elixir in the process, and paying off my army twice over.

This is why lightning DE is not profitable. I will crush you and take every bit back.

Well, it depends tho. When i am at TH 7 i used the method quite much. But, by considering the TH lvl. I only target TH 9 and 10 becoz they have a huge loot penalty against me while i can have looted more DE from them. I ignore TH 8 who are only one lvl above me becoz they dont get much loot penalty when they revenge on me.

Well, if you are one of the many that insist on putting your TH outside, THEN placing your king and queen right beside the exposed TH. Or surrounding it with teslas, Be prepared to have your exposed pumps, BK & AQ and your cc troops lured and killed. I hope you enjoy the shield, and the cost of re-arming your bombs and traps. The coin has two sides!

Yes i agree. Leaving a bunch of defenses around an exposed town hall is a clear violation of the shield for cups treaty. I no longer do such things. However you may notice that mortar adjacent to my town hall? Its radius is just inside where you can reach the TH with your archers so that when the TH falls and you decide to leave the 60 or so L4 archers to run rampant around my base, the killing can start right away! Aside from the "safety mortar" my TH is wide open for harvest.
In my early clash career i may have carelessly left a giant bomb or two near, well really right in front of my TH but i realized the fun came at my expense and tended to ♥♥♥♥ the snipers off. Oh, and there was the tesla experiment back when they were level 2. Yeah that was my bad. I don't do that any more.

I'm a little lost as to why everyone considers your heros being killed as such an offence. If they snipe your TH then your aq/bq will be back long before the shield runs out. Is this in case you break the shield an hour or so after the snipe? I'm probably missing something.

Why is it wrong to attack collectors to get back the elixir for the troops? I don't revenge people just for that. It doesn't make sense to spend a lot on a strong army to maybe three star them, even though they might not have enough loot to make up for your army.

Hey, just a quick note and a big thank you for the all the shields! In case you are wondering why you got crushed in a revenge raid after a quick Town Hall snipe i thought i would explain what brings me to your lovely camps after giving me a shield in exchange for 6 or 7 trophy.

1. You used a lightning spell on my DE storage when you left. Why? Thats just silly, unless i just had your camp for lunch and took all the available gold and elixer.
2. You thought you had a chance to recover some of your elixer that you spent on L4 barbs and archers to destroy my Town Hall, and went after my exposed pumps or mines.
3. In the process of trying to take a mine or pump you manages to get into the camp a little and set off 40,000 gold worth of traps put out for L5 hogs or worse.
4. You drew and hurt my heros delaying my attacking while they heal.
5. Your eyes were way bigger than your troop strength and you thought you had a shot at a real raid and managed to get 30%, tripping many gold worth of traps and emptying my clan castle.

Be a good sniper on your way to crystal and i will happily exchange a few cups for a shield, but deviate from this path and i will crush you like the bug that you are, taking 40 or more trophies, and all the available gold and elixer you have no matter the cost to me because at this point i have elixer to burn and will send a bunch of very angry troops you way just because i can.

Yeah, I'm talking to you Town Hall 6 level 52 person! Coming your way as soon as your off line...

I agree 100%...Now if only SC would make it possible to initiate a revenge from the scout screen, then I would join you in punishing those who deviate.

I used to be one of these kind of snipers when I originally made the push to get to crystal (gem bonus). I now know how annoying they are. Steal 4,000 gold, set off 50,000 worth of traps.

That's nice! But what about the people who just take your TH and leave; don't even let their troops die? Do you still revenge them if they have good loot or trophies? Or both? Or is they're too easy? Or for an achievement, to try something out or whatever? Or do you resist and not revenge?

I once revenged this guy who attacked me, he had 300K gold available. I hogged him; I got greedy with my heal spells. I would've 3-starred him if I had 30 more seconds. Even worse I missed 2 of the gold storages so I only got 130K gold. Even worse, I gave him a 16 hour shield and I didn't get a 2-star either.
