Clan wars is a fantastic feature that has been very anticipated and I am glad it is finally here. It provides a nice loot injection into the system which is good to see. That being said I think the Clan War loot bonus system needs some modification and here is why.
Currently, someone in your clan can attack an enemy war base that it their recommended target, give it their best effort and try to increase your clans overall star count. They end up doing 44% damage and not getting a star (does not take the town hall) and get nothing for their attack. While the lowest level player in your clan happens to see a top enemy war base (a town hall 10) with its town hall tucked in a corner and unprotected. This base has already been 3 starred so they just take the town hall for an easy war loot bonus that overflows their clan castle while only doing 2% damage. They did absolutely nothing for your clan attacking a base that has been attacked and 3 starred but walk away with more loot then someone who really put the time and effort in and got tripped up by one of the various things that can go wrong in an attack.
My proposal to this solution is as follows. I think war bonus loot should be based off of a percentage based system. Meaning if you do 44% damage and don't get a star. You still get 44% of the war bonus loot for that base. And someone who just takes a town hall only doing 2% damage only gets 2% of the loot. This way the more work you put in to help your clan the more war bonus loot you will get and even if you have a failed attack you will still get something, but for those people who don't contribute to the overall progress in the war, they walk away with almost nothing.
Now you can argue that 2 stars could be the minimum requirement for getting 100% of the war bonus loot on a base because some bases are just downright tough to beat and get 3 stars on. This also means however if you don't get 2 stars and happen to only get 1 star your war bonus loot for that base is equal to the % of damage done weather it be 2% or 98%(take everything but the town hall).
That's my 2 cents on something that I would like to see implemented into the Clan War bonus loot system that I feel would balance out how war bonus loot is distributed.
