Wow! That's a darned solid composition and explanation.
I usually run dragons and minions since my Drags and Minis are both lv 2 (max for Th 7).
My typical comp: 7 dragons +1 in CC, 20 minions, 15 archers, 5 barbs (I have lv 5 BK so can iron fist rage them plus use barbs to lure CC sometimes if archers are out of range), 3 lightnings.
I look for a WT and AD together or close together. Lure CC and if you can, lure them over the WT and AD (this takes some practice but isn't too hard if U r hitting a fellow TH 7). Drop the 3 lightnings slightly off from AD on the WT side but real close to AD. After 2 lightnings if there's not much left on the AD hitpoints, split between WT and AD to finish them both off.
Put a couple archers on outside buildings especially if there's an AD on outside wall with building in front of it. Release one minion to check for air bomb.
Release 5 dragons close to the AD not taken out by lightning and steer them by dropping a few minions on each side to keep the dragons focused on going in toward the core. If the dragons get close to a WT that is hitting them or get hung up with a tesla busy zapping them, throw down you CC dragon and maybe another of the 2 you have left. Rage the BK whenever you want to clear outside structures. I usually rage him early to take out the outside buildings.
It's an expensive army so mostly use it for Clan Wars. Otherwise I usually just BAM.
