For $3000 it is my "professional" opinion that you can embed yourself deep within the top200 BUT to even reach the top200 at all you must play two 5-6 hour sessions every 24 hours. You cannot advance in trophies if you do not spend the full 6 hours or close raiding and never lose. If you don't raid for 6 hours you eventually lose more trophies than you gain(once you get to 3700 you start getting super excited over seeing any offer above 5 trophies for a 3 star). The second session is just because your shield runs out before the full 24 hours(6+12 is 18). If you take more than 1 defense for every 4 hours of raiding you won't ever hit 3800 even.
