I believe that the wrong decision was made. The decision that killed revenging for good. This was the decision to hide what troops are in the clan castle when visiting. While fine for clan wars, I believe that this has killed one of the only positives about revenge attacking.

If you revenge, how has this change affected how you revenge or if you are even inclined to any more?

My personal opinion is that the decision to hide clan castle troops when visiting killed any popularity that revenge attacks may have had.

I suppose it was partially for the "more realistic" aspect of clan wars, but... WHY DID THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT FOR VISITING, TOO? If I was bored, and the search was frozen, which doesn't happen often, as I am a farmer, I would scan my log for people who battled me, and make them regret it. I would do whatever army was necessary to attain their "free" loot. Ever since I learned about barch, I stopped doing this as frequently. Now... I will most likely revenge less than once in every two weeks.

Revenge paws dead for me long b4 wars started, and early into my clash game,seriously hats off to those can bother to go thru the process of checking if a player is online got a sheild an wait. Check wait check all for a few extra cups... I gave up on that figure its just better to atk an push, an use my time else where.. Good luck tho with revenge

Revenge is total ♥♥ in champions league anyway.
Basically non-existent.

The problem is that whenever champs are online, they are on for hours.
When they are off, they get attacked immediately and get a shield.

I pretty much NEVER catch one just logging off.
They always have a shield.

I revenged three people yesterday. One was the th9 who stole 1400 dark. I stole 1800 back. I hit him back within two hours. I hit revenge about 50 times to get him. It made me very happy in this classic use of revenge.

A second was a sniper who actually saved me when I had 4 million gold, 6 million pink. I wanted to go up in cups and he was about 500 cups above me. I got 48 cups from 2 stars (89%) using my farming troops. I also looted 150k gold and 150k pink from him. All good. So I use revenge to get loot and cups, as well as to punish snipers.

The final one was th9 would had hit me a few weeks earlier. I farmed her/him for 32 cups and lots of loot. I was just tried of the loot I was finding and tired of pushing next.

So, revenge is very useful still.

I rarely get attacked since Clan Wars except by revenges.

Wow, I've been playing for over a year and never knew you could see the enemies CC before attacking. Have only done a handful of revenges during that time so not a big deal I suppose.

Revenge is not "officially" dead, in fact it's still very much alive. Not sure where you got this idea.

First you cant have loot bonus, now you cant even peek whats inside the cc.

Terrible, just terrible.

Are you incapable of doing a good revenge simply because you can't see his/her cc troop?

IMO, revenge has already given you a huge advantage, namely:
You are able to check if his cc is empty or full
You are able to scout his base infinitely and build the right troops needed to take it down
You are able to wait for his storages to fill up
You are able to check the range of his cc/defenses and plan where you wanna drop your troops.

The attacker on the other hand, attacks you with no prior knowledge of your base.

If you can't even get the upperhand with all these advantages, you must be a really bad attacker.

This post is pretty bias and untrue. Revenge is fine, just be patient, not to mention you can scout out bases already and see how to attack.

And hiding the CC Troops is good (not sure about Army Camps though), it will add a new strategy to the game since you'll have to prepare for whatever anonymous CC Troops there are.
