Players putting the townhall outside of base is just a sign for wrong gameplay design

Dont see what the trophy hunt is good for if you dont have your buildings maxxed ...

Some guy who always put his townhall outside until level 10 and thus had less resources be stolen will progress faster and and will then switch to trophy-hunting will just laugh at you when you are townhall 8 with your trophy-play and he is 10 and has 400 trophies more than you ...

There's two aspects to CoC. You have the "farming" aspect, where it's all about obtaining loot quickly and more importantly holding onto it. You then have the "trophy pushing" aspect where trophy's are the valuable resource and loot not so much.

Would you say the same thing about a player putting their storages outside to entice somebody to "snipe" their resource storages and give them the "easy loot" with very little resources expended and the defender "free trophy's"? It's the exact same thing as putting your TH outside for a "free shield".

Just because you put your TH outside doesn't mean you're not going to get steamrolled, it's just playing the odds. If you put your TH inside then you'll likely have 10-20 people skip past your base before the guy with the strong army comes by and steamrolls you. If you put your TH outside then every one of those 10-20 can snipe your townhall and get some easy trophy's and give you a free shield.

I'm not sure why it bothers you that every player has a choice of what's important to them. Loot or trophy's

Also clan wars did not kill farming because it's pretty easy to make a base that's town hall can be swapped around with other buildings. Here is an example of my base

I'm wondering if for Clan Wars if using "a trapped" Townhall might be a viable option to limiting most attacks to 1 star. I'm thinking that people will tend to go for the exposed townhall first; tie up a bunch of troops dealing with teslas that pop up and then the rest of the raid is kind of screwed.

And as mentioned, all you need to do is move your townhall in right before the war starts and them you can move it back out once they take that "snapshot" of your base for the Clan War.

Probably wouldn't work overall as the first attack on you would show the traps to everyone else. Second attack would steamroll you.

That's a mischaracterization. He's moaning because one person, in his clan, got an easy 1* in CW. So he wants Supercell to change the game and everyone to change their villages to account for it. They're obviously moving this request to the top of the list.

Exactly just let people play the way they want if someone snipes a th too bad move on with atleast it's a star towards the W.
