Are people really getting zapped frequently?

Hey all

I have been farming in C1 for a while and thought I may make the push to masters soon. But I was thinking about my defences and usually I am hit twice each night after I log off:

first defence i get hit by hogs for around 20-30%
second defence, after my giant bombs have exploded, I get hit for 50-100%.

But I haven't been lightning since I came up to crystal which was a few months ago.

Are people really being hit by lightning that often?

Seems weird that in a couple of months I haven't been hit but people are complaining about being hit 5 times every time they log off.

Fair enough. Are you farming pretty low in trophies around crystal 3 or gold 1?

Higher you farm, less often it happens.

But no-where is immune to thor.

I once defended against a foolish full on attack that failed to touch my gold storages. He zapped my gold storages LOL.

I rarely get zapped since I don't have that much DE usually. I make sure to use my DE upgrading something (BK, Research, and now my new AQ). I also don't really farm for DE (which would probably change now I have 28 remaining levels for my AQ at TH9) and my DE is just what I get from my normal farming of gold (now elixir -- gotta upgrade them camps!).

I can't remember when it last happened to me. It can only have happened a very few times during the time I have been playing.

Im farming in gold 2 and i rarely get zapped for my de. Normally only happens like every other week.

TH7s do the majority of the zapping so unless you are farming in an area with lots of them it isn't much of an issue. Most of the "strategy" is children lashing out in anger after getting a mudhole stomped in their base. LOL

I was zapped last week. But The genius zapped my drill instead of my storage which had full de (20k)

I spended a month or so in gold III with 130+K DE.. And got zapped twice or so. Not a big problem imo
