Anywho back on topic. I'd definitely put my TH outside. And as someone said you only need to have it inside on prep day.

You only have to have ur TH inside for the last 5 minutes of prep day. Once war starts, ur free to move it back out.

Honestly I wouldn't risk a 5 min marker. I covered up a spawn hole on my base with 17 mins before attack started... And it still showed up. Ggrrrr

Also someone else posted that they gemmed their defence upgrade to finish before the timer went off... Not sure how long was left, and it still showed the previous defence level.

So I'm trying to save up for an X-Bow after my Town Hall upgrades... but I've been getting raided to many times, losing TOO MUCH loot each defense.
I can't put my Town Hall outside my walls because of Clan Wars.
What do I do????

Lol.... And then there's this. I ALWAYS arrive at a new TH with maxed storages (not collectors, unless elixir) and all builders free.
And usually a shield.

I never thought raids were ever fair in this game :/ how many of us here actually waste time attacking people the same strength unless we're trophy hunting or in the master league?

I realize that I'm a bit of a weird breed that also attacks for gold and worries about trophies at the same time.

Hey guys, I'm not saying life has to be fair. I'm asking for tips.
I'm prematurely upgrading my Town Hall for the sale of Clan Wars. More towers outweigh a maxed out Town Hall 8 base.

I'm not being selfish either, so don't pull out accusations without a thought.

And my clan has been actively going into Clan Wars and won 5 out of 5 wars, so I don't want to let them down.

And when I do put my TH outside, I still get raided and lose a ton.

You're upgrading your TH for your clan? Why?
Even with new buildings/towers... You still need gold to build them : /

How much time do you have before your upgrade finishes?
I would suggest if you have the time and you've planned it well. Fill your storages an hour before your TH finishes. That way you can purchase your X-Bow straight away...
