Why is the DE Drill capacity so low??

This is really annoying me. I've been spending 70 gems to boost my 2 drills for 24 hours to help me get my dark troops upgraded. But with a capacity of 1,560, and 100/hour production, this means I have to check back every 8 hours. So it won't even last as long as a shield before it caps out and stops production. If I leave it overnight and sleep in, then there's like 500+ wasted dark elixer that I am paying for because the capacity is reached.

I think the capacity needs to be increased a lot. Currently, you can leave your mines for 25 hours before they cap. Dark elixer drills should be nearer this time. I'd like to see a capacity of say 2500 to make it worthwhile me gemming my drills, because right now half my money is being wasted

OT: don't like that either. But getting DE by boosting pumps isn't the best way of getting it. Why not boost barracks and go after Drills and DE storages?

You'd be better off boosting your barracks and attacking more frequently. Cheaper in terms of gems, and far more productive.

yes but but I don't want to play 2 hour sessions every day. I'm quite happy with 8k/day plus a few raids. After 1 week I'll have enough for my golem upgrade. But not if I have to constantly log in! Am I expected to set an alarm when I sleep to collect the dark elixer?!

This is would be exactly how I got all my DE. I log in 4 times a day, I raid twice, and my collector is never completely full. Not sure how much I get a day, all I know is my Valk is the only troop I have left to upgrade. No need to boost anything. My golems made it to level 4 easily. By the time one upgrade finished I had enough dark elixir to start the next upgrade immediately. Hope this helps, don't waste your gems if you don't have to.

If the de drill capacity was higher (say, 4000?), then abandoned bases with maxed de drills would be completely stacked with dark liquids!!!
