The point of attack depends sometimes on where the air def is. For ppl that use a healer or flying lizards, it'll be meat shield, wb boom, air def gone, healer/dragon/minions. Now that need to be adjusted. Also, the spot on obvious tesla location, to trigger potential giant bombs, location nearer to mortar so that you can launch squishies later, etc will dictate where yr beachhead is. Ppl with yr diplomatic caliber shdn't call those inexperience.
To crack double layer eggs, with old wb, meatshield->wb->before meatshield go round the world being picked off by inner bombardment->wb to tunnel-> sweet rewards. Now with the need to increase meatshields to clear first layer 'closer buildings', the mass raiders may be zapped to overcooked before job welldone.
This has nothing to do with the AI of the wall breakers, but...
Before the last update I used to place small bombs where wall breakers were likely to be deployed and the knock-back of the bomb would provide a one time protection for that segment of the wall against wall breakers.
However now I noticed that doesn't work anymore (and not only because the splash radius of the wall breaker has increased either!). I never see any knock back motion for the wall breakers while tripping a small bomb anymore, so I'm thinking either the small bomb is exploding slower (less likely), or the wall breaker is exploding faster.
There's definitely something different about their detonation mechanics. Previously wb spam would result in large wb losses while wbs piled up on an individual wall. Currently wb spam isn't producing that. A minimum blow the wall and the rest of the spam diverts to other targets. I thought it might be something complicated they had done to the AI but blowing faster on reaching the target makes better sense.

With apologies, I don't give out my Gamecenter ID or respond to PM solicitations to do base design critiques.
I deployed 1 WB to break open the outer wall. I put down some giants to kill the Air Def and distract Mortars. Then, I put down the rest of my WBers in the same place that I put the first, and they proceed to destroy more of the outer wall?!?! Am I missing something? I thought I had a grasp on these guys up until now.
^lol'ed, this issue again.
Regarding the issue pertaining to the above, I was discussing with another forum member named Gimme..
For those who still die die want to attack such bases from the sides instead of the edges.. you can try spamming them.
Here is a vid to demostrate.
Take note that this method might not be applicable to some bases.
So use your brain and analyze the base first, whether you should
A) Double up the wall breakers for a double break through
or
B) 2 by 2 accurately send them in
Those crying can continue your whining
Those who wish to learn/discuss, feel free.
But do take note of the increased risk the tunneling wall breaker has to take because of the lack of distractions.
Credits to Gimme for the video.
