It is a very stressful and very long journey. I thought about giving up many times.
Just some advices for you guys: take your time, dont try to rush things or youll end up losing trophies. Dont attack one of the first villages you see, keep searching until you find the perfect village. Youll eventually lose trophies, but dont give up, maybe youll win 2 attacks in a row then 1 def and youll be back where you were.
I used hogs for it, 38 hogs 5 wiz 1 giant 10 bb 15 archer. Always lured cc troops and heroes, and killed them with my c troops: 2 witches, 1 wiz 2 barbarian using skeletons as meat shield(and some of my wizards). My def cc is 22 archers and 2 wiz, and i won lots of those lately with my new layout and my unlurable cc.
The road to champs is very stressing, the key to succeed is being calm and know that you will get there if you dont get nervous and rush your attacks and defs with wrong troops in the cc, forgeting to rearm your traps or refill the infernos/xbow.
